Thanks for this one to bierkoning, Edo! Dark opaque brown color, small brown head. Strong bourbon aroma with chocolate, dark malts and alcohol. Full bodied. Lots of alcohol, bourbon, vanilla, toffee, dark roasted malts. Quite active carbonation. Finish has some metallic notes with earthy barrel flavors. Typical De Molen imperial stout. This one is pleasant and tasty, although has still excessive alcohol.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2010 Bottle #1464/2040. Dark color, light burns penetrates only at the edges of the glass, tan head that leaves moderate lacing. Vanilla and charcoal in the nose. Initial sip is sweet, dark chocolate, coffee, roast that turns quite bitter on the back of the tongue. Mild alcohol and bourbon dominate the aftertaste with a faint background of roasted coffee. An enjoyable stout. Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 26, 2010
First Snowfall of the Season tasting in Odense. Black with a lasting tan head. Deep and dark aroma, with lots of chocolate and fruit, and some licorice and bourbon. Full and sweet flavour of licorice and chocolate, with dark fruits, a touch of honey and hints of alcohol. Quite sweet, but the beer can carry that. Bottle. High creamhy and long lasting light brown head. As expected the body is dark as the arctic night. Spicy aroma, coriander I guess, with a somewhat sour berries note hops and alcohol. Hard to describe complex flavor of coffee choccolate hops alcohol ssweet beeries and a spicyness and something I guess is whisky. Oh I like it. Low carbonation. Long aftertasted.
