pre-GBBF "Rock the roof down tasting". Very deep rubyish brown colour, close to black, with a small beige creamy head. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice, wood, coffee, some bourbon as well as mild alcohol. Flavour is being quite much the same in a quite a nice balance. Also some mild vanillaish notes to it. Pleasantly balanced.
Bottled at Belgobaren, Stockholm. Pitch black with small brownish head. Meaty milk chocolate aroma with oaked red wine behind. Sweetish, full bodied eith soft mouthfeel. Hezvy on vanilla, peppery and chocolaty. Warming finish. Delightful. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2010
Bottle 18 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours black with a vague tint of red and a beige head. Very sophisticated and refined aroma - hard to pinpoint. Neither the Bourbon nor the Bordeaux barrel seems to dominte, instead they blend together to a very interesting melange. Medium body, some hard roast, but never burned or overwhelming. Sweet vanilla with a warming alcohol finish. Very interesting and sophisticated. 280710 madmitch76 (24789) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2012

Opaque very dark brown beer, little tan head. Slightly sour coca cola nose. Soft semi dry palate. Pleasantly sour dark malt that isn’t bitter or dry. Coca cola sourishness contrasted with lacto sweetness.Finishes semi dry with a whisper of nuts. Nice!
Bottle courtesy of me. Very dark brown. This one is carbonated! Nice brown head with decent lacing. Aroma of coffee, whiskey, wood. Taste is chestnuts roasting over an open fire. Very nice.
