Bottle thanks to darkguardian. Black pour with a faint tan head. Big whiskey and roasted malt aromas. The body is a little thin with all kinds of whiskey notes and undercurrents of coffee, bitter dark roasted malts, and caramel..

Pours a crazy near black with a small head. Nose is roasted malt and lots of heavy bourbon. Flavor is up front roasted malt and black patent malt with a fair amount of dark chocolate, finishes with alot of bourbon. Nice mouthfeel. Very very good beer. Thanks to Bloomster for this one.

RBESG 2010, draught at Brasserie 4:20
Black color; small, creamy, brownish head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, paper, chemicals, alcohol. Caramel and some coffee flavor, quite sweet, but with too much alcohol presence, that spoils the body, and worsen in the final. Elements clash here. Confused.

Pitch black. Head is good and hold nice when poured from a bit higher. Good roasted, coffee, chocolate, hint of vanilla, good moderated liqourish. Something less pleasant gets trough a little at the smell, but overall, this one is good for sure.

Sehr intensiver Antrunk, s nach Kaffee, dazugehrig rstig. Extrem intensiv trotz Sffigkeit, hchstmalzig.

Super Imperial-Stout. Extraklasse!Test vom 19.5.2010, Gebinde: Fass

Green waxed 18 cL bottle, brought home from de Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Black with ruby-brown edges. A finger of creamy choco head. Smell licorice, hard roasted sweet dark malts and strong coffee ground. Also some barrel notes and a nice whiff of vanilla. Full malt body. Creamy in the mouth, with soft prickling carbonation. Sweet, roasty and warm. Coffe, licorice and wood. Quite vinous. Substantial bitterness. Finishes smooth, warm and balanced. Great drinkability for such a big beer.

Bottle. A black one, topped by a medium sized, creamy, tan head. Red wine, roasted malts, some alcohol and oak and a touch of coffee on the nose. The flavor has a good bitterness to support the roasted malts and coffee, as well as the oak and vinous feeling. Full-bodied and slightly warming on the palate. A rather lovely one, making me forget to take notes when drinking it. 110107
