Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown with a tall, dense and stable light brown head leaving some laces. Very smoky aroma of tar and salty ropes. Medium body with hard roasted malts, very smoky whisky accents and a fairly bitter finish. Very interesting. 210309 fonefan (48622) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2009

Unclear medium to dark brown color with a large, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, smoked. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, and a dry dry finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. This how a smoked beer has to be prepared, well done Menno ;o))
Bottled. Dark color, short head. Aroma of peat, roasted malt, some ash. Roasted taste, bitter, peat. Beautiful mistake :) Bullit (4569) - Burgos, SPAIN - APR 12, 2009

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2009 Bottled 75cl. Courtesy of bierkoning. Appearance: It pours a dark brown beer with a tall creamy nicely remaining beige head which leaves a beautiful lace. Aroma: Very strong, peaty, smoky, complex, leathery with hints of tar, vanilla, apricot, peaches, milk chocolate and cassis. Flavor and palate: Leathery, nicely peaty with hints of cassis and vanilla. Faintly salty. Low carbonation. Complex. More cassis showing up on the swallow. The finish is close to the one of a great single malt with hints of heather, apricot and dark chocolate. Overall impression: Absolutely fantastic! Definetely one of the best beers I have ever had. The sediment is excellent too. Thanks a lot bierkoning! yespr (44754) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAR 21, 2009
75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, hazy, and with a small tan head. Solid smoked and peaty aroma. Leathery. Mild sweetness initially with a nice roasted caramel malt flavour then taken over by a solid smoked flavour into a dry and dense smoked finish. Lovely! Bottle at Alvinne pre-ZBF09. Distinct smoky aroma, hint of charcoal. Almost black colour. Very small head. Nicely smoky flavour, some campfire. Slightly sweet with a hint of coffee. Long, late roast coffee aftertaste. fata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 8, 2009
bottle at the Pre-ZBF pours dark brown/black with a dark tan head. Much more of a smokey/peated aroma compared to the regular version. Great sweet dark malt meets heavy smoke finish. A top notch stout. joergen (27970) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 7, 2009
