COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer. ABV on the label reduced from 15 to 11.9%. Recipe remains the same

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2017 33cl bottle picked up at Broucafé De Molen, and enjoyed in a snifter on 17-Nov-2017. Hazy reddish brown in colour with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of prunes, sweet malt and spices. Full body with soft carbonation. Taste is rich - lots of caramel, malt, raisins, spices and alcohol. Sweet light bitter finish.

Erg goed.

Wygląd: opalizujący ciemny bursztyn, drobnopęcherzykowa piana - pozostaje po niej pierścień, niezły lacing Aromat: suszone i kandyzowane owoce, rodzynki, miód, przyjemna słodycz, skórka od chleba, biszkopt Smak: gładkie, pełne, słodycz przełamana lekką wytrawnością, suszone i kandyzowane owoce, biszkopt, figi, karmel, goryczka średnia, nasycenie niskie, alkohol ogrzewający przełyk Data na etykiecie: 30-03-42

Tap @Small Bar, Bristol. Brown/amber colour, no head, clear. Aroma: roasted malts, bit of hops, rotten leaf. Bitter with hoppy/citrus aftertaste. Full body, flat. Too hoppy as for barley wine, generally nothing special.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2017 Is it a port wine, or a strong beer (quadrupple)? Its a really, really interesting beer, warm, sweet and suprisely not too heavy

Tasted 3 times. First time it was a marvelous out of the league beer which took me 2 hours to finish. Full of flavours. 2 Of the times it was an awful smelling and tasting medicinal syrup and drain pour. So ... I hope I find the courage to buy it again and have the phenomenal tasting trip of the first time. If so, than I might change the rating and tell what it can be.
