COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer. ABV on the label reduced from 15 to 11.9%. Recipe remains the same

Draught at Zubatý pes. Almost clear, reddish amber colored. AROMA- dried cherries, hips, rowanberries and other forrest berries, pleasant alcohol. FLAVOR- quite sweet, the same as nose, all that in honey, pleasant alcohol. Full bodied.
Quite noble barley wine. Very good.

Aromat: Nuty miodne, żywiczne, suszone owoce, karmel, silne nuty winne, rodzynki i jakby agrest, może autosugestywnie. Wygląd: bursztynowe, brak piany, niskie wysycenie, lepiące Smak: to idealnie odwzorowany aromat. Piękna "winnosc" daje się we znaki, dobrze ułożony alkohol rozgrzewający w przełyku. Bardzo gładkie, delikatne i ułożone. Pierwszy wypity Barley Wine zdecydowanie na plus, pewnie ciężko będzie zrobić drugie takie dobre wrażenie. Przepyszne :)

Bottle from State Line, 2010 vintage stating 15.2% ABV. Pours a muddy brown, viscous looking, no head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, heavy oxidation. The taste is raisin, caramel, toffee, citrus, booze, anise. Medium bodied, bitter, well balanced, smooth. Quite interesting.

From a 330ml bottle on 26/7/2017. Pours a murky amber with the barest of heads. The nose is sweet and malty - caramel and toffee, with a hint of smoke. The flavour is quite sweet and intense, with caramel, toffee, butterscotch, brown sugar, treacle, along with a touch of bacon, finished off by a moderate bitterness. The palate is syrupy and carbonation soft. A lovely dessert like barley wine.
