Theydon_Bois (20490) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 12, 2013
Tap at Borefts ’13, 27/09/13. Hazed dark amber/chestnut brown with no head. Nose is big on dark fruits, woody, boozey, soured cherry aroma, tarte fruits, sugars. Taste comprises sweet sugars, earthy tones, dark fruit, sweet cake mix, boozey notes, woody oaky sweet alchol drench. Full bodied, fine carbonation, sweet in the execution. Decent enough barley wine, the alcohol is well integrated for 15%, a little overly sweet throughout which prevents this one reaching a higher draw for moi !

madsberg (11776) - Søborg, DENMARK - OCT 8, 2013
Draught. Dark amber coloured. Light beige head. Aroma. Berries, ripe fruits, spice, sugar, vanilla and bourbon. Flavour. Ripe fruits, vanilla, sweetness, light caramel, just a tad sourness. Medium to full bodied. Ends fruity and spiced with a light sour touch.

Borefts Beer Festival 5. Day 1. Hazy amber - brown beer, no real head. Palate is smooth with superfine carbonation. Lovely sweet malt with sweet toffee. Nice Port Wine berry fruits and general vibe. These two aspects are well integrated. Finishes smooth. A wonderful sweet, smooth and tasty barleywine and for me beer of the festival. Not the first time for a Bommen & Granaten variant!

Dedollewaitor (16359) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 8, 2013
Tap @ Borefts Beer Festival, 2013. Pours unclear amber with a small off white head. Sweet fruit, alcohol, glogg and glue. Sweet and warming.

Martinus (4692) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 7, 2013
Slightly hazy brown colour, no head. Aroma of cherry, caramel, malts, brown sugar, wood, syrup, light sour hint. Sweet flavour, syrup, brown sugar, red fruit, wood, red wine, hint of brett. Finish red wine, caramel, cherry and brett. No brett sourness though, only a bit of funk. Bit strange in composition, but enjoyable.
(Draught @ BBF V, Bodegraven. My 2222nd rating)

bierkoning (13614) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 6, 2013
Draught @ Borefts 2013. Amber color. Vinous aroma, malty. Malty sweet almost sugary flavor with candied fruit and hints of bourbon and vanilla. The brett is hard to notice. Some onion and cabbage flavors. But this does suit the beer, that needs some added complexity. Pleasant.

yespr (47115) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - OCT 5, 2013
From tap. Pours hazy brown with a small white head. Aroma is wineous, fruity. Sweet, fruity, oaky, wineous and mild citric. Smooth fruity and mellow sweet finish.

PotjeBier (3633) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 4, 2013
Tap @ BBF ’13. Brown color. Aroma’s: sour, wood, brett, with sweet malts retronasal. Flavor is moderate sweet & sour. Rather strong alcohol feel. Full bodied, heavy. Finishes alcoholic. Nope.

Benzai (16569) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 1, 2013
Sampled @ Borefts 2013. A bit unclear reddish color, no head at all. Smell malts, a slight sour touch, some sweetness and a touch of alcohol. Taste malts, sweetness, some alcohol, flowery. Weird, don’t really know what to say about it. Medium body and carbonation, a bit sticky texture.

harrisoni (19189) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 1, 2013
On tap at Borefts 2013. Lovely fruit enhanced by the red wine. Sippable. Good. Strawberry jam fruit. Good
