caesar (7274) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - DEC 10, 2016
Bottle, bottle date Sep 18th 2013, large sample. Opening without a ssh, pouring a slight hazy copper beer, just some lacing. Aroma of sugar, molasses, toffee, bit raisin, some funky lactic notes and bretty bubblegum. Taste is very sweet, caramel, toffee, sugar, and then slight lactic and bubblegummy from the added Brett. Seems that the Brett didnt do its work and didnt eat any of the sugars. Very unbalanced and the idea totally didnt work out. Horrible mess.

ctipping (2233) - Florida, USA - DEC 5, 2016
750 mL bottle. Reddish amber clear body. No head. Smells acidic and fruity. Caramel malt. A little bit of vinegar. Tastes sharp and fruity. Acidic. Much less vinegary. Sweet caramel. Earthy brett finish. Bourbon is faint, but present in the finish. Heavy with low carbonation. This is interesting, but it’s a struggle.

skortila (5985) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - JUL 23, 2016
Bottled. 35cl sample. The aroma wine, raisin, red fruits, some caramel. Bit hazy, red-brown coloured beer with not much head. The taste is sweet, has red fruits, red wine, hint of wood, caramel, raisin. Low on carbonation. Medium-full mouthfeel.

fletchfighters (1571) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 9, 2015
750 ML bottle 2012 bottling In every way a typical barley wine. Low carbonation, in this case no carbonation. Very flat. Dark ruby color. Nose is full of Brett, apple and grape juice. Very alive in the nose but very flat as well due to the Brett. Still holds the normal barley wine qualities in the nose of fruits and malt. Wicked slick and oily. Big beer but softened by the Brett and makes it to more drinkable. Interesting and very different

BRW (3073) - Barcelona, SPAIN - MAY 24, 2015
On tap at Biercab. Reddish colour with small off white head. Fruity, malt and caramel aroma. Sweet, fruity, peach, syrup, wine taste, slightly sour. Medium to full body.

PhillyCraft (7904) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 27, 2014
Bottle shared by Kamiel at the Sad Fish whale sess, pours lighter and hazy red. Top is medium in size without much lacing. Notes are definitely sweet but layered with candy sugar, plum, tobacco, cherry, grape, and booze. More sugary than a typical barleywine, next time more hops!

Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 25, 2014
[email protected] Fish tasting aka Haarlemmestraat tasting aka Elite tasting aka did Dean do something (stupid) today aka Benzais’ endless triangle travel aka Chris’ Birthday tasting: Bottle: Served in a taster: Some creamy bubbles.
