Bottle, bottle date Sep 18th 2013, large sample. Opening without a ssh, pouring a slight hazy copper beer, just some lacing. Aroma of sugar, molasses, toffee, bit raisin, some funky lactic notes and bretty bubblegum. Taste is very sweet, caramel, toffee, sugar, and then slight lactic and bubblegummy from the added Brett. Seems that the Brett didnt do its work and didnt eat any of the sugars. Very unbalanced and the idea totally didnt work out. Horrible mess. ctipping (1912) - Florida, USA - DEC 5, 2016
750 mL bottle. Reddish amber clear body. No head. Smells acidic and fruity. Caramel malt. A little bit of vinegar. Tastes sharp and fruity. Acidic. Much less vinegary. Sweet caramel. In every way a typical barley wine. Low carbonation, in this case no carbonation. Very flat. Dark ruby color.
Nose is full of Brett, apple and grape juice. Very alive in the nose but very flat as well due to the Brett. Still holds the normal barley wine qualities in the nose of fruits and malt. On tap at Biercab. Reddish colour with small off white head. Fruity, malt and caramel aroma. Sweet, fruity, peach, syrup, wine taste, slightly sour. Medium to full body.

Bottle shared by Kamiel at the Sad Fish whale sess, pours lighter and hazy red. Top is medium in size without much lacing. Notes are definitely sweet but layered with candy sugar, plum, tobacco, cherry, grape, and booze. More sugary than a typical barleywine, next time more hops! Some creamy bubbles. Hazy amber red body.
Aroma is barley malts, spice, brown sugars, corn, some yeast, wood.
Flavour is sweet, brown sugars, berries, yeast, some wood, some caramel, hint of vinous notes.
Aftertaste is bitter, vinous, malty, some wood and yeast.
Low carbo, light creamy mouthfeel, close to fuller bodied and a creamy texture.
