UPDATED: AUG 27, 2017 Donker bier. Crèmekleurige schuimkraag die snel wegzakt tot fijn laagje. Houttonen, zoetje, bourbon, beetje koffie, chocolade, kersen, (heel) licht zuurtje. Echt een mélange van verschillende smaken. Puur genietersbier. Top top top

One of the last remnants of having a viable beer cellar. Bought who knows when; opened today! BBF 27/03/2040? Seriously I’ll more than likely be dead or shitting during my assisted bath time. I’ll need a lot of robotic parts to make it that far. Oozed out of the bottle in silence. Pretty good aroma with a good level of strength beyond the rim. Aroma thingos - raisin, plum, caramel, chocolately berries, honey, amaretto, pudding (absolutely no idea what pudding actually could smell like), hints of vanilla, even lesser hints of smoke once or twice only. Bourbon in general, slightly toasted coconut. It’s not a ’blow my mind’ aroma outright but it is a time consuming snifffest which is freaking fantastic with new things being created in my mind constantly. Most of the aroma notes are taken from well over an hour ticked away while vegging in my glass. The flavour is wonderful and will be harder to nail down now that well over half of my glass is being processed in my damaged liver. With all that is tastable I have to note there is some booze and at the back end of that possible oxyiidazashion - I absolutely cannot spell that fucking word today. Bourbon, slight tartness, mocha stuff, nearly burnt sugar, sharper fruit on the aftertaste, raisin, toffee, vanilla, most of the stuff from the aroma. Overall excellent - I wonder about the tipping point between the booze mellowing out and the negative characters sliding in killing off the finer qualities. Maybe I get more to see if the wax top outlives me after getting hiv while mindlessly banging young 60 somethings in a senile state at the ’home’.

Black color with a tan head that quickly diminishes. Aroma has strong coffee notes with some vanilla and barrel hints. Flavor has notes of roasted malts, almost burnt, black chocolate and coffee beans notes of black ripe fruit with a good oresence of alcohol. Warm and roasty final, light sweetness. Creamy and smooth on palate.

Deep brown cola appearance. Aroma is chocolate, dark fruits, barrels. Nearly still, flavour is heavily chocolate, dark fruits, bourbon, vanilla, lots of booze. Delicious stuff and really opens as it warms.

Bottle, bottled 27.03.2015. Pours black, with almost no head. Aromas of bourbon, vanilla, oak, smoke, and chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, with well marked bitterness. Moderate to low carbonation, oily texture. Very complex beer.

Bottle. This is a rich smokey and mysterious brew. A lot going on and very exciting to imbibe.

330ml bottled 2015.03.27, pours black with zero head. Nose is awesome, bourbon up front with vanilla, raisins, and chocolate. Flavour is very complex, changing throughout enjoying the glass as it warms. Again with the bourbon though port sweetnesss jumps out, along with hints of red wine, plums, and chocolate. Rich and velvety, I will be picking up more of these to enjoy over time. Yum!
