0.33 l bottle from 'De Bierkoning', bottled in January 2016, cellared for about one-and-a-half years. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly sourish-vinous, a little funky, roasty, moderately peaty and quite fruity aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, iodine, red berries, oak and red grapes. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly sourish, a bit funky, quite fruity, rather roasty and slightly peaty taste of dark chocolate, licorice, oak, red grapes, red berries and some iodine, followed by a medium long, moderately tart, rather roasty-bitter, woody-dry, slightly vinous and a bit funky finish. Medium body, minimally astringent, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very roasty, dry and tart. Body kinda light, alcohol hidden, soft to medium carbonation, lasting dry finish. Bottle, red wax, pours dark, small off white head. Sickly sweet malts from the off, treacle, caramel, loads os sharp cherries. Full bodied, texture is sweet and sticky with some sour cherry. Carbonation is flat. Finish is sweet.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese. Pours dark blk/brn with a tan head. Aroma is peaty with some dark malt. Med + body. Flavor is peaty/oaky/malty - with a touch of something seriously suggesting sour. Drinks nicely.

Very interesting beer. Aroma is licorice, roast, dark malts, black patent malt, leather and a little peat. Body and texture is just about right now and on the soft side but I don’t think it would improve with age. Molen Takeover, Taphouse, Copenhagen (07/03/2017) - pours black with a tan head. Dark roasted and medium sweet malty aroma and taste, with charred smoked burnt earthy malty notes, slight peated, some chocolate, molasses, whisky soaked wooden nuances into the finish.

Dirty black rubbery aroma. Tastes salty and has rough smokiness, sour too. Palate full and smooth, but saltiness and sourness is harsh. Ashy finish, rubber tyres and even the tarmac dirtiness, some chalkiness. Utter mess.
Tap @Taphouse, Cph. Pours deep opaque black with a small, staying creamy white film head. Aroma has lots of peity smoke, chocolate, oak, red wine. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite oily mouthfeel. Flavour has sharp peity smoke, some dark fruit, chocolate. Light warming. Not a fan.
