Borresteijn (7412) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2017
75cl Bottle, bottled June 2013. Slightly hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, candied fruits, raisins, vanilla, wood, very malty, tea leaves, hop. Flavour is sweet, malty, raisins, quite fruity, wood, vanilla, tea, firm bitterness underneath. Full bodied. I usually find De Molen barley wines way too sweet, but this is perfectly balanced imho. Great stuff.

Erzengel (9364) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAY 10, 2017
Bottle shared with Koelschtrinker, Beerhunter111 & Zlotta. Extreme intense viscous beginning. Sticky sweetish, round and fresh. Moderate grainy, intense sweetish in body, grainy, sticky, sweet sugary. Intense alcoholic-sugary, sticky, too much for me. And too less interesting aroma here.

Beerhunter111 (22268) - P´Castle, GERMANY - APR 29, 2017
Bottle shared with Zlotta and Koelschtrinker. Trübes orange braunes Bier mit einer geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch nach dörrobst, süßes kräftiges malz, mild gehopft. Geschmack ist kräftig süß malzig, dörrobst, Aprikosen, alkoholisch.

Koelschtrinker (21318) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - APR 29, 2017
Sehr alkoholischer Antrunk. Süß fruchtig-getreidig, hellmalzig, durch den Alkohol unrund. Muss nicht. 8/7/8/7/11/7

Zlotta (3734) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - APR 29, 2017
Sampled from 0.75 l bottle, bottled in June 2013. Slightly hazy, reddish amber with a beige layer. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity, and a bit spicy aroma of caramel, honey, vanilla and some red fruits. Very sweet, malty and a bit fruity taste of caramel, honey, vanilla and some red fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly spicy and a bit warming-alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

50belair (3680) - Florida, USA - DEC 12, 2016
Bottle. Murky brown pour with an off white head. Sweet malty bouquet. Sweet with loads of caramel and vanilla. Muted oak and hints of hoppy bitterness in the finish. A thin in the body with a good mouthfeel.

erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - AUG 19, 2016
Barley Wines from De Molen are about my favourite thing in the world, so how does this attack up? Very dense great, amazing red brown body. Super concentrated woody and deep dark fruit aromas, with thick cherry and apricot jam, chocolate, cranberries, oak... Amazing. Powerful sweet body, creamy and lucious, perfect soft carbonation. Wow, this is so good... (75cl bottle as marriage gift from John, many many many thanks!)

Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JAN 30, 2015
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass at roomtemperature: Small creamy head on top of a hazy red ish amber colored beer. Aroma of barley malts, cream, prunes, vinous, wood, warm tone, light butter... Flavours of prunes, cream, honey, barley malts, light toffee, light butter, light bitter... Aftertaste is a mix of barley malts, prunes, creamy, light vinous... Low carbo, thick silky mouthfeel, between medium and full bodied.

ippopotamo36 (2497) - Rome, ITALY - DEC 24, 2014
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2014 0,75 bottled purchased in Greece and shared in Kosovo with friends during a Christmas night. Pours a deep Amber clear-reddish, clear with a minimal ivory head. Nose: dry/sweet fruit, sweet molasses, macerated cherries. Mouth: jam of red fruit, molasses, extremely sweet. Complex enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

XaenDovet (1282) - British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 22, 2014
Bottle share. Hazy red. Aroma of sweet, sweet can(dy), tropical fruit juice, toffee. Taste is sweet, and a great fruit skin bitterness. Sticky, and insanely long dry finish.
