Drunk straight after the regular version. Very similar palate. Light, soft and airy. The flavour, howeverm is quite different. A very woody sweet taste dominates, close to cinnamon but it’s not cinnamon! Some banana sweetness underpins. Not as complex as the base beer but unusual and very drinkable!
Bottle courtesy of GT2, thanks! Black and headless. Aroma of chocolate covered caramel candy. Taste is similar with vanilla and brandy. Nice stuff. cgarvieuk (26714) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 21, 2009

Bottled (from Ölkonsortiet, Aalborg). Pitch black colour, not much head. Aroma is coffee, liquorice, some caramel malts as well as mild sherrylike notes. Flavour is coffee, liquorice, toffee, smoke and roasted malts. All in a good balance. Yet another very balanced and pleasant brew from De Molen. omhper (26207) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 15, 2010
Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Near black, abdolutely no head. Rich chocolatey nose. Sweet and dense, very chocolatey with full body. Prickly with white pepper, lots of milk chocolate, almost no carbonation. Feels viscous, almost thick. Sweetness comes through in the finish.
