s_hartshorne (2815) - wakefield, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2015
Bottle grove inn Huddersfield. 2011 bottle. Hazy golden orange good bubbly off white head. Aroma is fruity lemon sherbet. Taste is same nice sweetness good pale malts lots of yeast nice long hoppy bitter finish. Really nice full mouthfeel. Not like any other imperial pills I’ve had. Says to drink within a year mine is so mine us 3 years out of date but I can’t see any problems would like to taste a fresh bottle. Good all round.

Bottle 330 ml at home, from a trade with Countbeer, thanks. Poured into a lager glass, ABV 6.2%. Twenty months past its BBD according to the label.
Lots of yeast on the bottom of the bottle. Pours clear nevetheless, dark orange colour on the body, huge off-white head, very thick, wiht great retention. Vey intense activity in the glass.
Aroma of grains, nuts, hops, tropical fruits, oranges.
Taste is also grainy and nutty, fruity on the finish and on the aftertaste with orange marmalade, light citrus.
Medium thin body, good carbonation, moderate dry on the palate.
Overall a more than decent beer.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr hopfig malzig, fruchtig. Geschmack sehr malzig, fruchtig, hopfig, grasig.

Bottle gift from SJ. It wasn’t bad. Some notes of caramel malt, floral hop and bread. Had a slight earthy / sour taste.

kazin (619) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 22, 2013
Notes from backlog. Some hopiness, but not enough to keep me excited. Felt quite bland.

MarcoDL (5415) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 9, 2013
Not very exciting, but quite good if you consider this is a lager. Has some fruit and hops, but it’s not very outspoken.

rand (1860) - SWITZERLAND - OCT 12, 2013
Bottle 33 cl from Reddish amber beer super fluffy and nervous crackling. Aromas of flowery hop on malted sweetness and yeast. Taste soft-bitter-grassy with a sourish note of sour cream. Grassy hops with earthy and citric hints, any kex yeast, zest and Saison. Nice bitter-sweet.

jvhemert (438) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 10, 2013
Quite sour, flat as a pancake. Mildly bitter. Sherbet flavours and aromas. Not to repeat

ElDesmadre (3630) - Mikołów, POLAND - SEP 16, 2013
Bottle from Bierkoning, thanks! Aroma of white grapes and honey. Subtle herbal note. Nice though I’m wondering what is actually Bohemian about it. Tastewise it feels slightly infected, with an unpleasant acidity hindering me from finishing the beer. Very dry because of that. And contrary to the amount of IBUs the bitterness is pretty light. Not a good beer but I’m wondering whether it was infected or done so on purpose.

RoyceH (1200) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - SEP 9, 2013
Pours a caramel colour with a fairly big fluffy head, good lace. Nose is yeasty, malty, floral, damp grass, touch of cumin and cinnamon stick. Mouth marmalade, coffee creams, hazelnut, slight hint of -almost- diacetyl, bergamot tea. Very fruity swallow, orange cream Quality Streets all over the back of the throat. Odd, not unpleasant, just odd.
