ACBF - post fest tasting in Mes&Sims room, thanks to Menno for fetching one of these from the back of his van! Opaque black beer, no real head. Light and pretty dry palate. Dark malt. Bitter herbs with some cherry in the background. The cherry is quite cherry liquer like. Very dry finish with a pinch of spice. Initially struggled with this one but gradually warmed to it. Kicking myself for not purchasing another bottle in the Bier Koning and aging it!
Bottle courtesy of Grima, thank you sir! Murky brown, almost flat. Aroma of boozy chocolate covered cherries. Taste of chalky chocolate. OK.
