Draft @ ACBF 2012: black with a thick mocha head, smell is very meaty, think pheasant mixed with smoke, molasses sweetness, caramel (plenty), sweet malts, taste is sweet upfront, molasses, liquorish, mocha, chocolate ice-cream, dark fruits, running into gravy/jus, light smoke & just/sourness, very meaty beer, should be served with rabbit, creamy, almost sticky, what a funky one

Draft @ acbf. Aroma is herbal spices, roast, liquorice, some red fruit bretty like aromas. Flavours is red fruit liquorice roast hop this that and more. Insane. Something new.

Draught at ACBF 2012. Black coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and roasted aroma of dried fruits, bread and dark chocolate with notes of cocoa powder. Sweet and roasted flavour of roasted bread, dark chocolate and cocoa powder with notes of dried fruits. Roasted finish.

Draught at ACBF 2012. Pitch black - no head. Burned, wooden, bourbon, sweetness, oiley texture, boozy notes, light bretty, sweetness, licorice, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, dry bretty.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty, light bourbon alcohol note. Liqourice. Sweet, bourbon vanilla and toffee malty to caramelish. Smooth and dark roasted malty into a medium dry and dark liqourice and toffee malty finish.

Tap @ ACBF 2012. Deep dark brown color, opague. caramel, hints of coffee, onions and leather in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with dried fruit and leather. Totally hidden alcohol. The brett is there, but needs more time.

Draft @ 5th ACBF 2012. a black colored beer, with a beige head. The aroma of vanilla with whisky, dark malt and some fruits. The taste of sweet, with roasted malt, notes of vanilla and a little whisky. The aftertaste is some sweet, wood notes and some chocolate.

(draught) pours a pitch black colour with almost no head. aroma of surprisingly heavy peat smoke, some vanilla, cherries, wood and brown sugar. flavour is caramel, burnt treebark, brown sugar, toasted malts, smoked ham and vanilla, with a medium sweetness. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.

At ACBF 2012. Just a huge big beer. Black colour with tan head. Some brett choc and subtle bourbon but the mouthfeel and swallow are really good. all the flavours come through but the big wide mouthfeel and drying brett are standout. worked better with food
