Borefts warm up at Bier Temple, Amsterdam. Hazy deep red beer. A few white bubbles for a head. Smooth palate, a little dry. Rich barleywine - cherry dominated fruits. Toffee malt. A little marmalade citrus, mildly bitter. Stuck together with nice malt cream. Tasty BW. And Hi Thomas - hope you are enjoying school again! :)
Bourben cherries appearance with a minimal head that went away fast. Sweet aroma and flavor with cognac, cherry-liquer, lurking hops, cocoa. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - OCT 30, 2012
Glowing red body and very hazy, with bubbly active beige head. Nice hop forward barley wine aroma, with rich resin like hop profile and sweet humous malts. Refreshing and powerful over sticky and dark. Smooth carbonation that needs its malt base to counter all those modern hops to end up with a full body feel. More an American/Danish than an English/dessert barley wine. Very flavourful and much more easily drinkable and fresh than expected from the 12%. Dangerously so! Not because it’s watery or low profile, but because its smooth and exciting with enough bitterness. Great brew. (33cl bottle, thanks John!) jackl (8301) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Tap @ Beer Temple. The pour’s deep red with no head. The nose is spicy fruit cake, cherry, light chocolate and nut. The taste is sweet malts, some charred grain, fruitcake and cherry. Smooth, nice. This beer wears its ABV quite well. Overall, not bad stuff. armando629 (2456) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 16, 2012

Sample courtesy of Kermis at Arendsnest. This beer was an hommage to a regular at the bar that passed away. Hazy amber pour with small to off white head. Notes of toffee, hops, cherries, spice, and light cocoa. Very hoppy barleywine, reminds me of an American style Sticky mouthfeel with a medium to fuller body. This one-off was very solid. cgarvieuk (25744) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 9, 2012

Tap @ beer temple.
Pour murky reddish/brown, with no head at all. Aroma of caramel, sweet fudge, ripe dark fruits, sour cherries, old hops, slight spicy. The taste is pretty sweet, with some faint hoppy bitterness. Medium and slight oily body, with a semi-flat carb. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 5, 2012
Bottle @ home. Aroma is big (citrus) fruity hops, strong caramel, some bread. Flavour is very malty at the start with bread and caramel, then a big hop flavour and bitterness, then more sticky sweetness and a almost candy like sidenote combined with some alcohol. Hefty but nice beer. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 2, 2012
A clear amber color with a small off-white head. Tons of caramel, brown sugar, and toffee sweetness. If that wasn’t enough, a ton of dark fruit as well. Mild hop notes of citrus, perhaps a hint of pine. Tastes incredibly sweet, but just enough pine and citrus hops to add a light bitterness. Tons of brown sugar, toffee, and caramel. Great cherry and raisin fruitiness as well.
