Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Brown head. Black beer. Nose of roast, bourbon, earth, chocolate, cream, coal, whisky, light liquor, light sweet tint... complex aroma! Flavour is a beautiful mix of roast, some bourbon, dark chocolate, light mocha, liquor, chalk, coal, wood roast, light vinous, light bitter, soy sprinkle... Aftertaste is roast, chocolate, mocha, light bourbon, bitter... Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, close to full bodied. Great beer!

Drank 25-5-17 while writing (bottled 21-12-16). Quite heavy on the barrel. Not peated, but metally-alcoholy. Like those more thin, straight-in-the-face whiskeys. Gets significantly better when its warmer, like 10+ degrees. Rich, complex taste. Not that sweet, but also not too bitter. Very intense. Bourbon there. Very good.

Bottle, batch 21-12-16. Black colour, minimal brown head. Aroma is lots of bourbon, much vanilla, some chocolate, a bit of red wine. Alcohol does not disturb. Light bitterness, no sweetness. Thick, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Fantastic.

Bottle - Sweet whisky barrel notes and dark malts. Jet brown with a small light brown head. Sweet and woody whisky, dry and some roasty bitter notes. Lots of wood and very dry.

Bottle @ home shared by Ferris. Opaque dark brown to black color, small light brown head. Smell and taste malts, boozy, dark malts. Not a lot more to it, especially the boozyness annoys me.

Smak: lekka pełnia, sporo nut bourbona, wyraźna poloność, kakao, gorzka czekolada, kawa, spora goryczka, lekki alkohol, wyraźnie rozgrzewający. Wysycenie: średnie.

Green apple, some chocolate and coffee in nose. Pours black with tan head. Taste is medium sweet to sweet, slightly better than nose but still dominated by green apple. Some chocolate and coffee in the background. Medium bitter finish, soft carbo, full to average body. Overall something went wrong.

kluczbork (304) - Wroclaw, POLAND - MAY 13, 2017
Bottle. Aroma- fantastic combination of coffee, Belgian chocolates and red fruits (mainly cherries and raisins), then comes balanced bourbon notes and subtle, pleasant alcohol. Black, unclear, with a light-brown, great-looking head and nice lacing. Taste- roasted coffee in the first place, again with red fruits (but more raisins rather than sweet cherries), some cocoa, bourbon vanilla and wooden notes. In the aftertaste, theres medium-high roasty bitterness with bourbon and delicate alcohol. Full-bodied, smooth, with a medium-low carbonation (could be a bit lower). Tasty basic RIS, with balanced barrel aging-effect, but not the best from De Molen- alcohol is disturbing at the end, theres too much CO2 and vanilla could be more noticeable.
