heavy (2817) - Split, CROATIA - MAY 29, 2017
Oct. 16. A 0.33 l bottle that poured lightly hazy dark copper hued brown body with smaller brown head. Fine, strong roasted coffee, cocoa and licorice aroma. Flavor was very nice, roasted as well, with cocoa, licorice, some ash in between. Pleasantly rounded, full bodied, with long coffee and cocoa finish muscled up with ash and peat. De Molen spoilt me completely so I expected even more, something amazing and unconventional, but this is a fine porter indeed.

Pours almost black, big head, with nice carbonation. Aromas of alcohol, hints of nuts and caramel. Taste of caramel, alcohol, sweet malts, yeast. Too much carnobation when drinking. Quite nice caramel aftertaste. Bitterness is on point.

Couldnt detect much in the way of aroma. Taste cola coffee blackberries sweet and silky in the mouth.

matbli (359) - Poznań, POLAND - MAR 31, 2017
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2017 Bottle, pours cloudy dark brown with beige head. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, smoke and a hint of a wet rag. In taste light sweetness with a roasty bitter finish. Easy drinkable but I?m missing some distinct tastes and flavours. Disappointing for a De Molen brew.

Roasted, cocoa, very dark with a thin head, light body, carbonation is soft, not very intense with smoked notes...simple and good but not great.
