CapFlu's rating

CapFlu (5126) - Victoria, British Columbia, - NOV 16, 2012
(33cl bottle) Purchased at Cook Street Liquor for around $6.90. Pours a thin, frothy white had atop a deep reddish-brown body. Nose is lightly toasted. Flavours are pretty sharp for a porter. A lot of bitterness and hops in the front with a slow meld into a roasted malty finish. Very thin and somewhat off-base in my opinion.

Late June, 2015. Sample thanks to the London Crew at The Rake. Cheers, guys. Deep, soupy brown pour with a small head. Not the most attractive pour. Nose has some cocoa wafer, mild coffee. A bit or roasted grain. Flavor of earthy char, some lightly acidic coffee. Mild chocolate and some old leather. Medium body, soft carb.

heavy (2817) - Split, CROATIA - MAY 29, 2017
Oct. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle that poured lightly hazy dark copper hued brown body with smaller brown head. Fine, strong roasted coffee, cocoa and licorice aroma. Flavor was very nice, roasted as well, with cocoa, licorice, some ash in between. Pleasantly rounded, full bodied, with long coffee and cocoa finish muscled up with ash and peat. De Molen spoilt me completely so I expected even more, something amazing and unconventional, but this is a fine porter indeed.

MaltWarden57 (6) - SERBIA - MAY 9, 2017 does not count
Pours almost black, big head, with nice carbonation. Aromas of alcohol, hints of nuts and caramel. Taste of caramel, alcohol, sweet malts, yeast. Too much carnobation when drinking. Quite nice caramel aftertaste. Bitterness is on point.

johndoughty (5403) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2017
bottle. Black with a small head. Quite malty with a medium body. Not a lot of depth or complexity but still worth trying, as there beers always are.

Couldn’t detect much in the way of aroma. Taste cola coffee blackberries sweet and silky in the mouth.
