Unclear medium to dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, coffee, chocolate, wood - oak, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcohol.

Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, old malt, oak, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light light dark fruit acidic and moderate bitter with a long duration, oak, chocolate, dark fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Cloudy brown - red beer. Decent tan head. Minerally nose. Light palate - semi crisp, turns slightly soft. Subtle chocolatey malt surrounded by some woody sourness and crispness. A little subtle fruit. A little vanilla wood before the dry finish.
Draught at Borefts Beer Festival 2010. Dark ruby brown, little head. Aroma of prunes and dates. taste is raisins, vanilla, coffee. Medium body. Tasty.

Frisch malziger Antrunk, der später erheblich intensiver wirs. Herbe und frische Noten werden dabei beibehalten. Darin dezent holzig, im Abgang wird das Bier aber überraschend wässrigder, nur die trockenen Röstnoten des Malzes überleben. Das Ende passt definitiv nicht zum Bier. 10/11/9/9//10

75cl Bottle at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Shared with DutchDrebus. Nice dark brown color with a deep dark red glare coming through. Small beige to light brown head. Smell sour, oak, wine, dark malts and lightly coffee. Taste oak, coffee, dark malts, bitter and chocolate. Superb complex taste and only 5,7%ABV! Remarkable. Full body, medium carbonation. UPDATED: OCT 12, 2010 [9/24/10] Draught at Borefts Beer Festival 2010. As De Molen Barrel Aged Porter. Dark brown. Aroma of oak, some berry notes, some brett and some malt. Sweetish woody flavor with a bit of brett, some maltiness and a drier finish. Medium-bodied.
