Borefts Beer Festival 3. Opaque black beer, small tan head. Light dry palate. Nose is an interesting parma violets sweets! Light dark malt with definite perfumey notes and a nice fruity undertone. Raspberries noticeable. Semi dry finish. Nice fruity RIS!

/10/11/11//11

Boreft Beer Festival 2011: Black with a lasting tan head. Aroma of fruit, licorice, ash and smoke. Swet licorice, fruit and smoke flavour with some sugary notes. The smoke is mild though and just adds a nice complexity.

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours a pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is malt, sweetness, fruit and licorice. The flavor follows the nose with additional notes of smoke and alcohol. The palate is sweetness and alcoholwarmth. Overall a good beer.

Draught @ Borefts Bier Festival 2011, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.

Dark black colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, light chocolate. For me the chocolate and coffee did cover up most of the raspberries in the aroma .. but in flaor there is huge sweet raspberries. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, light acidic and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, chocolate, artificial sweet raspberry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. In one way i like it in a other way i dislike the artificial sweet raspberries ! [20110923]

Tap @ 3th Borefts 2011. A black colored beer, with a dark brown head. The aroma of fruits like raspberries, dark malts. The taste of dark roasted malts, raspberries. The moves from bitter to sweet. The aftertaste is bitter and sweet, less smoke.

@ borefts festival 2011

Head: none
Colour: dark brown
Smell: raspberry, porter/stout, chocolat, coffee, roasted
Taste: raspberry , sweet, sour, coffee, roasted malts, bit boozy, end is bitter and fruity , i think this suits better to the porter/imperial stout style then the Smoked style ... as i didn’t even get a glimp of the smokeyness ... but this was deffinitly in my top 3 at the festival !!
