Black color. Mild but very nice aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, peat; iodine. Good body strength; good roasted malt flavor, cut by a slight sourness; the booziness from the barrel here is a bit more evident.
Bottled. Pours hazy deep brown nearly black with a little tan head. Nose of roasted malt and dark fruit. Sweet flavor ith dark roasted malt, licorice nd coffee notes. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. Ends up more dry and still malty. Excellent.

Bottle. Very dark brown, average and mostly diminishing dark brown head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, some roasted malt and some coffee, faint licorice, light oak/vanilla. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, coffee with some roasted malt and light licorice, light oak and light alcohol. Finish is average to long, malty and lightly sweetish, coffee and some roasted malt, light licorice, light oak, alcohol. Lightly sweetish IS - not too much coffee. Bit too much alcohol in the finish and only light oakiness. Plovmand (8530) - Grindsted, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2012

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Jet black body, small light beige head. Nose is alcohol, wood, leather, licorice, hints of coffee and ashes. Smooth. Taste is leather, licorice, tar, alcohol, hints of coffee and wood with some sour notes of dark berries in the back. Soft carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. A nice imperial with a well-cloaked alcohol content, but which nevertheless somehow fails to reach the top rungs of my ladder. thomat (3985) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 26, 2012
Almost black with small brown head. Fruity with wood tones. Malt, fruit, wood and hops. Full body with long, bitter sweet finish. Very nice ! MalcolmTucker (924) - SCOTLAND - MAY 26, 2012
Bottle. Almost black with a thin tan head. Strong aroma of chocolate, liquorice and whisky booze. Flavour is more of the same with a good bitter finish. Quite fizzy for an imp stout. Good but had better from De Molen. flip_soeperman (880) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 24, 2012
