33 cl bottle consumed on May 4, 2012. Thanks to sebletitje!
Dated 28/02/2012
"Clear" (hard to see, but no visible obstructions) black color, small dark brown head. Salty, smoke, alcohol, wood scent. Char coal, dry, wood, salty, smoke taste. Very dry, ashes, salty aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, high dry bitterness.

olio (10274) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 1, 2012
33 cl bottle @ Timo A. Bottled. 28.02.2012. BBE +25 years.
Pours pitch black color with a medium beige head. Aroma of some port wine, dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, some wooden notes, bourbon, hints of vanilla and peat. Flavor of dark chocolate, ash, cocoa powder, bourbon, some red wine notes, hints of coffee, dark berry notes and peat. Very rich and complex brew with a nice appealing aroma, sadly the alcohol comes through a bit too much. Still very good.

marcus (10227) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUL 11, 2012
Bottle at t’Arendsnest. Pours dark brown with a modest tna head and a treacle and alcohol aroma. There is a sour fruity flavor with a dry alcohol finish. Complex, but does not gel very well.

sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAR 4, 2012
Draft @ ACBF 2012, Moen.

JorisPPattyn (10002) - Ursel, BELGIUM - MAR 29, 2012
Quite resistent, rusty-tan head over black, viscously pouring beer. Some coffee, and lots of (bitter, aromatic) chocolate; smoked (peat) and spirit; woodfire aromas. Quite smoked, lightly phenolic, alcoholsweetness, spirit and bitter chocolate, coffeedrops and tobacco. Very complex, yet just a tad unidimensional. Finish is very dry. Viscous, full bodied, slick and alcoholheat, internal fireworks. Velvety slickness pointing directly at oats. Excellent, as usual, d*mned wax, also as usual. Strangely peated for a Speyside.

77ships (9827) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 5, 2012
Draft @ ACBF 2012: black with a thick mocha head, smells of roasted malts, coffee & molasses sweetness, taste is bitter roasted malts, mixed with touch creamy oatmeal, cold coffee, quite fruity dark fruits, light berries, chocolate, molasses, espresso, there is some speyside in the finish but very light, malts & oatmeal body, De Molen keeps churning out stellar stouts, imagine if they were in the states , this was the lesser one @ ACBF

tderoeck (9724) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAY 24, 2012
17/V/2012 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Klaas’ place - bottled: 28/II/12 (2012-513) Thanks to Bene for sharing the bottle!

Clear deep brown to black beer, small aery beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of mocha, dried fruits, caramel, alcohol, some disinfectant, bit of coffee. MF: lot of carbon, medium body, alcohol burning the throat. Taste: mocha, coffee, sugary, dried fruits, warming alcohol. Aftertaste: dark chocolate, mocha, coffee, oatmeal, raisins, brown sugar.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Dylan. Looked really rough, but has held up. Pours a pure jet black color with a medium brown head. A pine and hop nose with astringency and whisky. The flavor is a big cocoa and roast, again more pine, the whisky really melts into a similar earthy and bitter flavor, very smooth. Finishes with earthy chocolates. Very solid. Easy despite the ABV.

gyllenbock (9177) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 25, 2012
Bottle at O’Connor’s, Uppsala July 2012. (thanks konstifik) Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, coffee, some smoke and whisky. Quite complex with notes of alcohol. Not bad but something was missing.

Cuso (8688) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - NOV 17, 2012
Bottle from Almost black color with huge frothy beige head. Aroma of roqasted malt, ash, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste, roasted malt, coffee, raisins, peat, wood, whiskey. Bittersweet finish. Full bodied beer. Dangerously tasty beer.
