Thanks, Kraddel. Old bottle 2012. Aroma is a tad smoked. Musk. Taste is also smoked. Palate is full bodied and thick. Nice deep dark chocolate.

Bottle (thanks harri). Pours dark brown-black. Aroma is sweet, berries, mslt, roast, booze, smoke. Flavor is sweet and bitter, blackberries, malt, roast, strawberries, booze. Finish is sweet and bitter with booze. Overall: very good.

Pours deep black with a nice espresso head. Aroma has roasted malts, coffee and some barrel notes. Taste has much alcohol, plum, licorice and strong coffee. Lots of oak and alcohol in finish!

May 2016 - Bottle share at Floor 42 with thanks to Matty for this rare De Molen tick. As Brouwerij De Molen Haver & Gort, 12.3%, black wax, bottled Feb 2012. Opaque black, dense foamy brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, fruity, some burnt plastic, some almost vegetal oaky stuff, leafy. Body is light-ish for style, a touch frothy, tingly carbonation. Taste is roasted malt, chocolatey, mixed salad leaves, oak, thin whisky. A nice imperial stout. (3.8)

Bottle shared at the level 42, 24/05/2016. Many thanks to Matteo for this one. Pitch black coloured pour with a lasting thin dark tan head. Aroma is roast, black malts, solvent, blackberry, raspberry, woody. Flavour is composed of brown sugars, bitter black malts, woody, tangy raspberry, woody, hint of coffee, . Palate is tangy black malts, highish carbonation, tangy berry, semi sweet. Good. Little jammy fruit lingers.

33cl bottle shared at Leighton’s had tasting on Level 42, London. Sourced via Etre Gourmet a few years back. it pours a pitch black color with a small beige head. Aroma is strong vanilla, soy sauce, toffee and dried figs. Taste is also big bold sweet and lightly funky with more notes of dark fruits, raisins, caramel, vanilla, licorice, soy sauce and dark chocolate

Bottle split at Level 42, thanks to Matteo, 24/05/16. Pitch black topped with a dirty tan swirl. Nose is earthy roast, dar fruits, charr, raisens, Xmas cake, subtle barrel tones. Taste comprises sweet licks, light mineral cloak, dark fruits, raisnes, toffee, bitter chocolate, mellow barrel. Medium + body, fine carbonation, light rising alochol in the close. Solid well balanced BA impy, drinks easy, well below the ABV.
