A clear light brown colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of fruits, some caramel, with hop bitters. The taste of caramel with fruits and bitter dry hops. The aftertaste is a little sweet, moving to strong dry bitter. One extra Overall point for the good cause. GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 2, 2012
Shared bottle at Borefts 2012. Cloudy rust colour with a minimal pale head. Aroma is gooseberry, citrus, caramel, apricot. Hoppy and fruity on the palate with a well balanced bitterness. Taste is bitter orange, grapefruit, mango chutney.

Hazy copper with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with a touch of dried fruit and a spicy note. Sweet malty flavour with fruity notes, some grassy hops and a quite notable bitterness. A bit unbalanced and messy composition 77ships (9638) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 1, 2012
Thx. to the gentle soul who was kind enough to share one of these - sample from a 75 cl. bottle during Borefts during the remaining nightly hour or so of the first day - the flashlight of my cellphone tells me that this is a darker shade of amber with a heavy big tanned head + appears to be murky as well - smell is gentle hops, caramel, light malts and humble hops - fermenting dough, yeasty cellar, caramel, apple, white sugar, bitter spice in the back - medium bodied - not bad simpler beer jmgreenuk (9313) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JUL 28, 2012
Bottle courtesy of a friend. Dark cloudy pour, almost no head and light lacing. Somewhat hoppy, malty taste and the Challenger hops come shining through. A full bodied beer that needs to be served cool, but really delivers despite its less that attractive appearance.

Sample at De Molen tasting. Murky brown pour with small off white head. Aroma is hoppy, herbs, slightly floral. Flavour is sweet, fruity, herbs, spice, bread, medium bitter. Medium bodied and soft to moderate carbonation. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUN 13, 2012
Brewed for Hamoen from his own recipe. At 7.6%. Very murky brown, light tan head. Great fruity hop aroma, caramel, surprising to me. Yeasty for sure, some coffee maybe. Big spices. These spices get back on you at the taste unfortunately, it’s quite dry and the bitterness makes it a little harsh. Enough flavour though. Decent brew. (At the De Molen tasting)
