A Mes rate: bottle at Pre ZBF.
Bloody hell! Another De Molen beer!

If only ryan could see me now! What a blinkered fan boy huh? This is a storming IPA. Hazy orange amber with an excellent beige head. Hops, hops and more hops. Superb grapefruity mandess. But there is more to this than meets the eye. Somewhere in the middle some amazing malt complexity just launches at you and sneaks in a smooth bolo punch. Sweet and earthy with plenty more dark rich fruit. Just as quickly it’s grounded and pounded by more earth shattering hoppage. Massive resinous and lengthy finish. Such a big beer but such a delight to drink. Fantastic.

On tap at Copenhagen Beerfestival. It’s a hazy, orange-brown beer with a small, creamy, beige head. Citrusy, resiny hops in the initial aroma, soon having company of sugary sweetness and some alcohol. Quite massive sweetness in the mouth, but with enough hops to cope with it. Resin and pinecones and a good bitterness. Some alcohol warmth. Lasting bitterness in the finish with a good dash of balancing sweetness. Full-bodied and rather sweetish. A nice beer indeed, but a bit on the sweet side maybe. (090516)

100ml poured from a bottle. Unclear, dark amber body. Fine laceworks on the glass. Rich aroma of citrus sharpness. Peels of different fruits in flavour, sustained by berries and malty sweetness. Nice and lingering bitter finish. Well crafted ale and on of the best I had at the festival in Valby (CBF, 16.05.2009).

Bottle at the Copenhagen beer festival. Poured a cloudy brown with a brown head. Aroma consisted of hops and a bit of malts. Also a fruity note present, perhaps grapefruit. Starts sweet and ends bitter with fruit undertones.

Tap @ de Molen. Pours a beautiful redbrown color with a thick and lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma of hop, grapefruit, some pine, some caramel malt. Very thick and creamy mouthfeel. Good bitter taste, but not astringent or harsh like some american dipa’s. Very nicely balanced, full bodied with caramel malt. The 11% cannot be noticed at all, which makes this a splendid dipa.

austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - MAY 22, 2009
75cl #251, bottled on 17/11/08. Dark hazy ruby, lovely fim amber head. Red grapefuit nose, slight pine & resin, yeastiness, pretty similar to Nogne #100. Very bitter, resiny flavor, slight herbal notes, grapefruit, floury grains, lingering tangy resin and some licorice in the finish. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation. Good aroma, but a bit too tangy flavor.

Pinball (12145) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2009
dark amber or brown, no head. fruity fresh aroma, red berries, wood. flavor is sweet, wood, hops, not much fruits, like a reasonably hopped barley.
