At a tasting, many thanks, smallish bubbly head, oxidized brown color with reddish hues, aroma of orange marmalade and oxidized notes, sweet jammyflavor with dark bread citrus and a cakey candy maltiness, medium mellow bitterness, quite sweet but not cloying. Not what it was supposed to be be still nice and enjoyable. DSG (15432) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - APR 10, 2016
Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Vova. Bottled 2009. Hazy deep amber. Rich aroma of malt, caramel, cookies, some dark fruits, some stale hops. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, cookies, and a mildly bitterish finish. Rounded mouthfeel. Very nice. Aged well. markextrae (4604) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUL 17, 2015

Poured deep reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma of heavy, meaty fruit and caramel malt. Full body, flavour is vinous, moderately sweet with a light malty undertone. Pretty much a fairly decent barley wine now. tricksta_p (5366) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - APR 3, 2015
2009 bottle. Aroma of malt, caramel, ripe fruits, peach, apricot, resin, aged hops. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate bitter finish. After 6 years this Double IPA has turned into a nice Barley Wine indeed.

Bottled. Pours deep brown with an average beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, citrus fruits, dark fruit and caramel. Sweet flavor that end up more dry and bitter and with some alcohol. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice brew indeed. gEUS (1637) - Linden, BELGIUM - JAN 25, 2015
330 ml bottle - 08/06/2009. Pours clear mahogany amber, small beige-ish head. Deep malt nose with resinous over-aged hops. OMFG, what a silky smooth body, subtle bitterness totally integrated with the malt sweetness, nice semi-dry and sweet finish. Taste is soft caramel and pine resin. Held up very well for a DIPA; a fine barley wine it has become. MarcoDL (5478) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 18, 2015
Bottle, over 5 years old. Dark color for an IIPA. Aroma is really malty. Tastes like a malt soup, with still some bitter hops and sweet caramel. The aging turned it into a barley wine. Good, but not spectacular.
