gyllenbock (10025) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 29, 2014
On tap at Mikkeller Bar Stockholm.
Black with a minimal tan head. Aroma and taste of bitter chocolate, roasted malt, wood, port, licorice and some light notes of berries. The body was thick. The finish was long and with warming alcohol. A pleasant one.

>> Pours deep sepia with lower coffee foam. Nose totally insane- rich fudge, vanilla ice cream, sweet smoke, powerful black miso umami, black rock salt. Taste is a bit ashy with decent lemon, finishing true with bitter chocolate, moderate smoke, salt, miso. Palate gets richer, silkier as it warms with bright orange dark chocolate. Fantastic version of this classic.
Bottle thanks to MrH! Pours pitch black with a medium brown creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt, coffee, licorice, bourbon. Flavor is the same, medium sweet and light light bitterness. Medium plus body, creamy mouthfeel. Some warming on the finish, but not bad at all for ABV. Nice beer. kraddel (9327) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JUN 22, 2013
thnx to kermis ! at rampkrot whale tasting, drank the day after ( it was closed by a corck, so the diffrence should not be that big )
i went INSANE when i heard this was at cbc , and i wasnt able to go . thank god i did get this one after all. 666 ’regular’ is my top favourite beer. so if only for the label, i NEEDED to have this !
pours pure black, small layer of grey foam, fades to a ring .
very oaty in the smell, hel en verdoemenis is definetly there.
actualy, this is very comparable to the 666 ! thats unexpected ( by the discription, not the label , wich is a copy of the regular one ;) )
bitter, bit lighter mouthfeel than the 666 . sweet, and VERY good. givven the fact this is a day open now ( closed pretty good though, it actualy popped when re-opened ) . not as shocking as the 666 though. it misses the warm smell, the supergood aftertaste. plus coffee is less straight forward.
but whiskey isnt my thing AT ALL n, and it doesnt bother me, not even close, in this beer. so very well done!
will rerate when i had again and the bottle hasnt been opened. i have another bottle so it should be no problem :) Cuso (8950) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - NOV 9, 2013

Bottle from Mikkeller & Friends bottle shop. Deep, murky brown with absolutely no head. Pretty oily appearance. The nose is rich roasted malt. Plenty of scorched earth, ash. Mild boozy sweetness, dessert liqueur. Bitter dark chocolate and raisin. The taste is more of the same. Bitter chocolate, scorched wood. Bruised dark fruits. Burnt brown sugar. Thick and quite viscous. Not overly boozy, smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. Overall, a pretty good beer, though I can’t say it’s an improvement on 666 itself. laiti (8531) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 23, 2014
33 cl bottle @ tiong, bottle #0022?AndySnow (8305) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - MAR 8, 2017
Vertical with 666
Aroma is sweet with oat, nuts and whisky tones; peat and some smoke. Also hints of hay. More stale than 666. Flavour is sweet with whisky, woody tones, peat and licorice. Also some salmiac. Pleasant, better than 666. More stinging and aggressive though.

Where: Had at home.
Appearance: Black colour with a small beige head.
Aroma: Caramel, dried fruit, whisky, chocolate, vanilla.
Body: Full body with a thick mouthfeel, low carbonation.
Flavour: Dried fruit, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, raisin, some alcohol.
330ml bottle. Deepest dark brown with small, creamy to frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma with minimally smoky Bourbon notes, vanilla. Taste has a Bourbon entry, vanilla, a touch of smoke, dark malty coffee and chocolate notes. Too Bourbon dominated for me.
