Vertical with 666
Aroma is sweet with oat, nuts and whisky tones; peat and some smoke. Also hints of hay. More stale than 666. Flavour is sweet with whisky, woody tones, peat and licorice. Also some salmiac. Pleasant, better than 666. More stinging and aggressive though.
Bottle thanks to MrH! Pours pitch black with a medium brown creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt, coffee, licorice, bourbon. Flavor is the same, medium sweet and light light bitterness. Medium plus body, creamy mouthfeel. Some warming on the finish, but not bad at all for ABV. Nice beer. thnx to kermis ! at rampkrot whale tasting, drank the day after ( it was closed by a corck, so the diffrence should not be that big )
i went INSANE when i heard this was at cbc , and i wasnt able to go . thank god i did get this one after all. 666 ’regular’ is my top favourite beer. so if only for the label, i NEEDED to have this !
pours pure black, small layer of grey foam, fades to a ring .
very oaty in the smell, hel en verdoemenis is definetly there.
actualy, this is very comparable to the 666 ! thats unexpected ( by the discription, not the label , wich is a copy of the regular one ;) )
bitter, bit lighter mouthfeel than the 666 . sweet, and VERY good. givven the fact this is a day open now ( closed pretty good though, it actualy popped when re-opened ) . not as shocking as the 666 though. it misses the warm smell, the supergood aftertaste. plus coffee is less straight forward.
but whiskey isnt my thing AT ALL n, and it doesnt bother me, not even close, in this beer. so very well done!
will rerate when i had again and the bottle hasnt been opened. i have another bottle so it should be no problem :)

Bottle from Mikkeller & Friends bottle shop. Deep, murky brown with absolutely no head. Pretty oily appearance. The nose is rich roasted malt. Plenty of scorched earth, ash. Mild boozy sweetness, dessert liqueur. Bitter dark chocolate and raisin. The taste is more of the same. Bitter chocolate, scorched wood. Bruised dark fruits. Burnt brown sugar. Thick and quite viscous. Not overly boozy, smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. Overall, a pretty good beer, though I can’t say it’s an improvement on 666 itself. lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 23, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours a black colour without a head. Aroma of roastiness, nutty malts, cognac and and tart wood. Flavour of roastiness, tart wood, cream, vanilla, herbs, molasses and licorice. Full bodied and oily but a bit thin mouthfeel. Carbonation is too low, unfortunately, as it is almost non-existent. Flavour is more complex than in the original version. Too flat, still. teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - NOV 28, 2014
33cl bottle. Pours totally dark with no head at all. Only some big bubbles spread in the glass. Aroma is huge: lots of roasted notes, coffee, licorice, oak and dried fruits. Alocholic warm too. Taste is similar: very malty in the beginning, turning to a soft bitterness and ending with a soft warm sensation of alcohol and oak. Palate is silk, full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, very tasty brew Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 7, 2014
