Bottled. Pours opaque black with a small, beige head, leaving a fair lacing. Aroma of whiskey, roasted malt, plums, vanilla and dark chocolate. Sweet flavor that ends up with a little malt bitterness and alcohol. Full bodied, oily texture and soft carb. A great impy. zvikar (6172) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - AUG 24, 2013

33cl Bottle from De Molen Beershop. Black colour, light-brown head. Aroma of loads of booze in the beginning, bourbon, sweet soy sauce, hard roasted - ashy - malts, molasses, coffee, chocolate. Flavour is sweet, less boozy than expected apart from the slight burn in the finish, bourbon, oak, soy sauce, molasses, coffee, hard roasted malts, firm bitter roasted malts in the finish. Full-bodied. Good, just a touch from great. This one really needs to mellow out a bit more imho, although I usually like RIS’s fresh. sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 2, 2013
Poured deep brown with a frothy beige head. Aroma of roast malt, caramel, dark chocolate, coffee. Full body, flavour of sweet caramel, roast malt. Might cellar a bottle and see how it develops after a couple of years. Iphonephan (6989) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - MAR 9, 2014

From a bottle at the rb tasting it is a dark brown color with a slight head. The aroma is of licorice and the taste is of coffee that resonates of licorice. It is an amazing beer! KingCecil (2084) - DENMARK - MAR 15, 2014
Bottle @ home from Mikkeller & Friends bottleshop…. It pours pitch black with a medium creamy beige head…..sweet roasted malt, coffee, oak, chocolate, licorice, dark fruits…… nice... RasmusOtt (2767) - Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 1, 2014
Bottle. Pours black with a fizzy brown head. Aroma is nice base H&V with some smokey whiskey notes, sweet chocolate, sweet ripe fruits, vanilla and woody notes behind. Pretty nice Aroma yo. The taste reminds me a lot about H&V too.. Lots of roasted notes, liquorice, and darks died fruits but also some vanilla and some more alcohol woody notes behind. Not a turn off at all. The beer carries the 13% very well. Lower carb would not hurt anyone though :). All in all - This is gawd stuffz! Vestergaard (2089) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - AUG 1, 2014
33 cl Bottle. Pours pitch, heavy black with a brown, short lasting head. Aroma has both bourbon and smoked whiskey notes, butter, vanilla, heavy roast, baked banana, syrup, salt, burned sugar. Taste is yummy! Lots of vanilla, espresso. Sweet in a fruity way. The alcohol is definitely there, but it adds complexity and body to the beer. Speaking of, the palate is overall pretty nice, but the carbonation is a little too high imo. One of the better variants! tiong (7306) - Espoo, FINLAND - AUG 23, 2014
330ml bottle from Mikkeller & Friends
Bottle #0022 (!), vertical with 666 - Pours pitch black with a tiny bubbly head. Aroma of roasty malts, whisky, vanilla, oak, wood and sweet syrup. Taste is heavy, sweet and roasty with notes of whisky, vanilla, oak, wood and syrup. Finish is smooth, woody and oaky with notes of vanilla and whisky. Quite heavy and sweet, whisky notes are more subtle than the cognac notes in 666.
