Bottle shared at Fuck-Zwanze-daytasting. Molasses, chocolate, light smoke, alcohol, very nice.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2016 Shared by me at Maakun back from US tasting. 75cl Bottle no. 223, obtained from cellar sale at Plan B Rotterdam (Vintage 2010, first batch). Black, almost no head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, cognac and wood, prunes, licorice, black tea, molasses, vanilla, ash. Big sweet, light bitter. Full body, velvet smooth texture, very soft carbonation. In the final pours the texture became thicker and gel-like. Big chocolate finish, very nice. Might have had more of a punch when fresh but the smoothened out palate from aging is also very nice to experience.

Bottle 75 cl thanks to sjogro, massive thanks even! Black with small light brown head. Lots of sweet red berries, chocolate, raisins, boozy cognac, marzipan, sweet coffee, quite earthy, some vanilla wood, cobwebs, toffee, dried dead leaves. Over medium sweet, light bitter and very light sour. Over medium bodied with light feel and low carbonation. Maybe a bit past its prime, but still a really good beer. Great experience to have tried this.

Bottle as a trade from Kraddel. Many thanks! Black, brown foam. Soft carbonation. Roasty, coffee, wood, cognac, vanilla, caramel. Very well balanced stout. Bitter, roasty along with the sweetness from the barrel ageing. Wonderfull! Best beer I drank this year!

330ml bottle at Jamey’s (thx a lot, man!!!). Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a tan head. Aroma and taste are very complex: cognac, marshmallow, resin, burnt malt, caramel, roasted sunflower seeds, dark fruits, figs, some coffee and black chocolate notes. Coffee with milk, roasted seeds aftertaste. Perfectly done beer!

2012 bottle at home. Smell is cognac, alcoholic, with a small hint of fruity sourness. Taste is chocolate, lots of cognac, coffee. Had this one twice. The second I tried was quite oxidized so I’m not ging this a very high score, it would have earned the first time.

Deep dark beer with creamy brown head. The creamy roasted flavor is thick and carry the vanilla bourbon softly. Very enjoyable.

Little 18cl bottle pours an oily, translucent deep brown, basically no head. Nose has wet wood, burnt wood, a little mushroom, some German chocolate cake. Flavor is chocolate, watery coffee, earthy tree bark, cola, vanilla. Finishes watery, but it is a bit old. Just a bit too far gone.

Bosbouw (3010) - Gemonde, NETHERLANDS - DEC 28, 2015
Mooie zwarte kleur met een kleine kraag. Ruikt vol, drop, alcohol. Smaakt vol, vanille, drop. Beetje drop-achtig, koffie, mocha in de afdronk.

Abijen (2572) - ’s-Hertogenbosch, NETHERLANDS - DEC 28, 2015
Donker bruin bier met een kleine beige schuim kraag. Ruikt alcohol, peated, geroosterd, vanille, overrijp fruit. Smaakt drop, mocca, chocolade, koffie. Zacht.
