April 3, 2015. Bottle at home, bottled september 16, 2013.
Black with a very small tan head. Aroma is lots of peat with notes of chocolate, dried fruits and ash beneath. Taste is sweet with lots of peat, some sweet raisin and caramel sweetness and bitter chocolate and charred notes. Smooth medium to full bodied.

33 cl bottle @ home, bottled Setp. 16, 2013. Black color. Light brown head with a thin layer retention. Aroma’s: iodine, roast, peat, light sweet. Retronasal it’s peaty, roast, sweet, iodine, chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet, moderate bitter, ashy. Rather strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Still enough carbonation. Finish is moderate bitter, peaty. Nice!

Black beer, almost no foam. Low carbonation. Oily and thick. Very complex aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and peat. Very nice peated. Well balanced.

Tap at Borefts, shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: pitch black beer, small unstable beige head. NOSE: smoked, coffee, whiskey, peated. TASTE: peated, smoked, coffee, some light vanilla, alcohol. Decent, but not completely my kind of beer.

CraftBeerNick (3062) - London Town, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2014
Bottle at home, 8th March 14. Peaty, whiskey aroma, pours flat, palate good for the style, but thiner for the whiskey. Taste is not subtle, loads of whiskey, too much to start, mellows as it goes on and warns, unfortunately the whiskey out paces the other complexities of the stout, there is some oak, wood, not a lot more, still a lovely drink

Bosbouw (3051) - Gemonde, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 1, 2013 Mooie zwarte kleur met weinig schuimkraag. Volle geur van koffie en chocolade. Goede volle peated smaak en een koffie tint. Iets alcohol nasmaak.

33cl bottle at home from Plan B, Rotterdam. Nose is smoky whiskey. Body is pitch black, head is very small, beige, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma is dark roasted coffee, smoke, toast, dark chocolate, licorice, old wood. Light sweet, heavy roasty bitter. Finish is long lasting roasty heavy bitter, medium chocolate, light smoked wood. Full body, oily sticky texture, nearly flat carbonation. Quite heavy dessert beer, interesting, tasty, great one.

Bottle shared @ Biercab, Barcelona - Spain. Color: deep dark black beer with really small carbonation and medium brown head. Smell: peat nose with high roasted malt and coffee nose. Very intensive! Taste: full body and oily sensation. Dry taste of peat with coffee note. Very amazing! Good caramel and coffee finish. Aftertaste: coffee and peat, alcohol finish.
