Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy - virtually none, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, smoke - peat, chocolate, light coffee. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee, chocolate, peat. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft.

Borefts Beer Festival 5. Day 1. Opaque black beer, no real head. Smooth dark malt, little minerals. Light lactose. TCP Bowmore. Touch of dark chocolate. Light dry finish. Not a Bowmore fan but this is okay.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Matteo. Pours deep brown with a bubbly tan head. Big roast and smoke in the nose, peat, iodine, earth, raisin. Heavy sweet flavor with some scorched earth, very strong peat, earth, moss, cocoa, alcohol, dried berries, bent toffee. Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Nose is roast malt, chocolate, earthy, peaty whisky, smoke, booze drenched wood.
Taste comprises peated smoke tones, TCP, molasses, medicinal, light roastings.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, light smoke and mineral tones in a medicinal finale.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Opaque black beer with a small beige/brownish head. Roasted coffee and whisky aroma, peated, vanilla, licorice, dark chocolate, cocoa notes, caramel, nuts, leather notes, some raisins and figs. Roasted peated whisky aroma, grassy, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice, cocoa, raisins, vanilla, biscuits, hazel nits, some leather. Alcohol is well hidden. Great way of adding peated whisky to an Impy.
