I have not drunk many imperial stouts but this is delicious! I love dark chocolate and coffee aromas and tastes and this has it all! The alcohol is dominant, not hidden, but in this case I don’t mind that at all. Thanks a lot Imrich for this great beer you shred with us!

2011 April waxed bottle. Pours dark brown with a dark tan head partially lasting and very thick legs. Very rich deep aromas and flavors of espresso, chocolate, molasses, soy / umami, wood. The flavor is very sweet but also plenty bitter with the umami prominent mid palate then some dark berries and wood. The texture is thick, sticky and lively. This is an incredible stout. One of the best I have had.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2016 Deep dark, almost black with thin brown head.
Aroma.. intense roasted malts, chocolate, bit dried fruits, some ripe fruits I would say peach, licorice.. this time too much licorice for me. Alcohol quite noticeable.
Sweet with bitter warming finish. Nice composition

Pours black with low light tan head. Aroma dominated by chocolate, almost more milk chocolate than dark. Coffee, vanilla, bourbon barrel, dark fruit. Taste is deep chocolate and coffee with a distinct bitterness. Here it's dark chocolate again. Long, bitter finish with warming alcohol. Medium body, a tad too light for the style. Low carbonation, creamy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Non conosco le imperial stout ma questa mi ha fatto impazzire, davvero molto molto buona! Alcol molto ben mascherato!
