33 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours spitch black with a small dark brown head that leaves quickly. Aroma of dark chocolate, dark coffee and som roasty stuff. Taste of dark coffee and a warm dark chocolate mouthfeel with an oily texture. Low bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. A complex and a great IS.

[4811-20120921] 330mL bottle. Roasted dark fruit skins and grain mt aroma. Black brown body with a quick foamy tan head. Roasted thick malt flavour is sweet and big and heavy with a light dry-roasted wood note. Full body. Delicious, quite big and drinkable. (8/3/8/4/16) 3.9

As black as my soul and just the way I like it. Inky. Dark. Supping whilst listening to Mark Lanegan- Dark Mark does Christmas 2012. Both are brilliant. Hell and Damnation indeed...

Rating #100! Aldus Huubs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pours jet black with little head, slight retention. Nose has roast and chocolate. Taste starts sweet is a nice milk chocolate element. As it warms the roastiness is present as coffee grinds. Body is big, almost flat carbonation provides a silky texture.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2014 The pour is deep black and the head is frothy, creamy, and dark tan in color. Aroma of roasted malts, vanilla, raisins, chocolate fudge, oak, and tar. It’s a shame it’s so subdued, because it’s phenomenal upon close inspection. The taste is quite interesting: it starts out bitter from the roasted malts, then turns into delicious dark chocolate, and culminates with a dark note, a little like soy sauce, a little like earth, and a little like ashes. The mouthfeel is substantive, with a full body and prickling carbonation. Alcohol more implied than felt.

’Take it easy tonight,’ he said... I’m not sure what that meant exactly, not sure if sinking a 10% imperial stout fit’s the ’taking it easy’ bill, but you think I give a shit when it tastes and feels this good? Just reward this. Hell and Damnation? Don’t mind if I do... wanna join me?

Bottle 650:Rum and chocolate nose that really works, quite intense. Soil and fudge notes also prominent. Black with a thin brown head and full of chunks. Full body and smooth. Chocolate syrup with molasses accents. Lasting tobacco and leather finish. Exquisite.

330 ml bottle (11.2 oz.), bottle number 531/2080 brewed on March 7 and bottled April 11, 2011. Poured into a short stemmed tulip/snifter. Pours the darkest brown possible, viscous, topped with a two finger fluffy beige head. Great retention and wispy lacing left along the sides of the glass. Deep dark fruit, dark chocolate, and phenol alcohol on the nose. Opens with bold black cherry, plum, and raisin, joined with deep rich chocolate. Finishes smooth with continued rich dark chocolate covered dark fruit and some final hints of roasted malt and roasty bitterness. Exceptional mouthfeel, full-bodied, velvety and creamy. Low, but a very appropriate level of carbonation. Very complex, bold flavored Russian imperial stout. The brew tends to highlight chocolate and dark fruit flavors and could very easily trend overly sweet, however the balance in this brew is excellent. A definite "must-drink" for any Russian imperial stout lover.
