kermis (14716) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 4, 2011
Bottle at De Paas. Pours very dark brown with tan head that doesn’t last. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and sweet caramel with some alcohol. Flavor has same aspects with dark fruits, raisins and liqurice. Excellent beer, beaten by some of the BA versions

Opaque black beer with a short lived chocolate coloured head. Soft palate. Very light for the style. Frothy and creamy. Soft dark malt. Subtle undertone of red fruit, cherry and a little plum. Light coffee and toasted malt notes. Traces of banana and bubblegum in the finish. All very well joined up in to a light Imperial Stout.

Koelschtrinker (21828) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 29, 2011
11/11/11/12//11

Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 29, 2011
Test vom 20.10.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottle shared during a schedule sell. Very intense, complex collection of flavors. I could swear that it was aged in some kind of whisky/cognac barrel - intense alcohol aftertaste. Nice.

blklab2007 (2120) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 26, 2011
bottle brewed feb 17/18 2009 bottled mar 20 2009 opened with no pressure on the cork. pour has a dark black body but there is no head and no bubbles showing here. aroma has rich dark malt, fantastic deep chocolate, dark brown sugar, truffles, and sweet black coffee. very complex. mouth feel has incredible coating without being too heavy but there is no carbonation in this bottle. flavor does not let down either. rich malts, the best chocolate flavor in recent memory on a beer, countering sweetness, some hops still come through, and sweet coffee with minimal bitterness.

Martinus (4718) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - MAY 22, 2011
Dark brown / black colour, red glow in the light. Small tan head, light carbonation. Sweet, burned malts aroma, coffee, some liquorice, some tar and developing smoke. Flavour rather sweet, liquorice, coffee, burned malts, milk chocoloate. Some dried fruits. Ash. Rather light carbonation but full, smooth oily mouthfeel. Finish light burned malts bitter, some hops, bit sweet lingering taste, warming alcohol. Very nice.

Servida en Les 4 Pedres ( Badalona) Embotellada, 33cl, lacada en rojo. Aromas a café, chocolate y regaliz. Buen cuerpo, bien equilibrado y bastante compleja.
