33cl bottle from 04/10. Oh how I love the De Molen beers. Dark brown pour with a decent tan head. Big roasted malt and coffee aromas. This chewy little devil is fantastic; with roasted malt, mellow coffee, and chocolate flavors. As good as it is, I do however prefer the 666 version..

Bottle, purchased at the brewery/bottle shop (Struise) in Oostvleteren, Belgium. Pours a deep murky brown (!) body with no head. Nose is dark chocolate, licorice and wooden notes. Taste is maple syrup, chocolate and hints of tar and charcoal. The absolutely best thing about this stout is the fantastic palate; a silky smooth velvet caption that really makes my day! It is so rare to have a beer that makes you wanna crank that palate-scale up a couple of notches - just great. Otherwise, this is a solid stout without too many original characteristics, but all in all Hel & Verdoemnis makes me wanna go out and sin some - at least if this is what Ill be drinking in hell! :-D

Bottle. Black pour, small brown head with strong lacing. Huge sweet chocolate, mellow coffee, and alcohol undertone. I got quite a bit of whiskey/bourbon flavor out of this as well which was awesome. (Its not the Turkey Barrel either) This is extremely drinkable while still holding on to a lot of flavor. A new favorite.

Served into an oversize wine glass Bottled 18/6/2010 number 691 A: Jet black no light goes through, creamy brown head, big lace. S: Sweet brown sugar, bitter roasted coffee, dark malts, smokiness. T: Strong bitter coffee flavor, warming astringent, sweet notes. Full bodied beer. Overall a delicious beer if you like RIS or coffee if not its very strong for some people. This brewery its all about the beer just a clean and simple tag with a lot of info like type of hops used and bitterness measurements. Fully recomended

(bottle - corked & caged 750 ml) Pitch black pour with a thin layer of tan foam. Absolutely no carbonation whatsoever. Big coffee and roasted malt aroma with a nice creamy hint as well. Roasted malt and coffee at the start with a very thick and roasted malt middle. Some sweetness at the end with a dark fruit finish. Lingering bitter aftertaste. A bit thin, but I think that was due to the lack of carbonation.
