Bottled, at tasting at _angst_. Dark black, small beige head. Intense coffee aroma. Dryish and full bodied with soft mouthfeel. Loads of coffee with just a tingle of Highland whisky. Warming, mid-bitter finish. Surprisingly relaxed with a focus on coffee. Really nice! _angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 18, 2012

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2012 (Bottle) Pours dark brown to black with a small, nougat colored head. The aroma holds light burned roast/coffee/dark chocolate/cocoa and woodsy/alcohol-ish/fruity/fudgey whisky. Touch of hops. The flavour is light sweet, medium to heavily bitter and light acidic. Notes of roast, whisky, light fruits, light nuts and bitter hops. The mouthfeel round and tart with a light carbonation. Roast, aggressive hops and whisky on the finish. Medium bodied. wlajwl (6884) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - FEB 6, 2012
Strong infusion of peat/scotch/scotch ale in aroma and flavor. Pretty good, the sweetness wasn’t overpowering and the scotch elements complemented the stout pretty well. oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - FEB 3, 2012
Bottled (from bierkompass.de). Very deep ambery brown colour, close to black. Thick fluid, no head. Aroma is coffee, slight whisky sweetness, some roasted malts, liquorice and ashes. Flavour is quite similar with an overwhelmingly strong sweetness to it. Flavour also has quite a stinging alcohol feel to it. Feels rather different from the Hel & Verdoemenis normal one (as I remember it).
