Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 3, 2011
Draught @ BBF’11:
Small brown head/lacing on top of a black colored beer.
Smell whiskey, wood, liquorice, sweets and spices as in whiskey.
Taste raisin whiskey, roasted malts, liquorice, tar, bitter, hint of coal and light smokey.
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, full body and a creamy texture.
Soft and smooth delicious beer. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 3, 2011
Borefts 2011. Good roasted aroma, distinct vanilla aroma. Black colour, good stable light brown head. The flavour starts off with a good vanilla note, later comes a nice level of alcohol. oteyj (2139) - New Hampshire, USA - OCT 3, 2011
Thanks Travlr! Black pour with a very minimal white head. Milk chocolate and booze lead to earthy dirt, toffee, caramel, and coffee. Thick rich palate with low effervescence. Oily and slick. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 3, 2011
330mL thanks to Travlr. The pour is a deep black pour with no head formation. Correct SRM at least. Nose is rich, melted chocolate bar. Taste is nicely boozy up front. A quick flash of whiskey, but mellows out in less than a second to wild amounts of chocolate. WTF? More chocolate forward than Southern Tier Choklat. No joke. But thankfully this is not a sweet beer, nor an overly thick beer. Excellent, thick palate. Bitterness too balance. No chalk, brine, olive, powder. Rich mocha and espresso and earthy roast meld with loads of semisweet chocolate. Great beer- definitely a treat. Chocolate lovers will be floored. cgarvieuk (24456) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 2, 2011

Draught @ Borefts Bier Festival 2011, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.
Dark black colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted. chocolate, coffee, caramel, oak, whisky. Flavour is heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, chocolate, cacao, alcohol - whisky. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic.
Draught @ bbf. Small beige head on top of a very dark brown (but not black) beer. Great aroma of raw malts, dark chocolate, resins, (cedar) wood, whisky and sweet alcohol. Sweet taste, with chocolate, resins, soft sweet alcohol, wood and whisky. One of my festival favorites. Benzai (15586) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2011
Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival @ De Molen, Bodegraven. Color: pitch black, opaque. Medium sized beige to light brown head. Smell wood, whisky, lightly fruits, roasty, coffee.
