Bottle @ Café Buitenlust, Oirschot. I thought i’ve had this one before, but I didn’t rate it. Pitch black oil with no head. Smells roasty malts, green twigs, some coffee. Tastes roasty, coffee, dark chocolate, red wine, cognac, sweet, red fruits. Full body, silky, soft carbo.
Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 30, 2012
In short: A rich impy stout with well integrated barrel aging. ExcellentYorker (2115) - Holstebro, DENMARK - OCT 8, 2012
How: Bottle 18cl, consumed almost exactly 1 year after bottling date. Bottle I received from tyler_mm (formerly tytoanderso) and packed in my luggage and consumed when travelling through the land of overpriced beers (Norway), thanks a lot Tyler
The look: Black body topped by a very small beige head of foam
In long: Nose is a cold cup of mocha coffee, rich blackened malts, moderate bourbon barrel presence. Taste is a cup of mocha coffee, burnt campfire marshmallows, a whole lot of blackened malts, chocolate cake icing, moderate bourbon barrel presence, vanilla cookies. The wood adds a clean dryness in the finish. Appropriate relaxed carbonation. Everything adds-up perfectly in this beer, the whole is more than the sum of its parts. One of my favorite De Molen ever. This is one monster beer sold in 180ml that for once I’d like to drink a bomber of. 180ml was really not enough of this beer, I really wish De Molen would stop using Danish people as a reference to determine the bottle size, and I really wish potato chips companies would stop using anorexic midgets to determine the recommended serving size.
18,5 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a lot of sediment and a tiny tan head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, bourbon, coffee, vanilla, liquorice, and chocolate. Flavour follows the aroma with some warming alcohol in the end. callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 Pitch black body. Thin khaki head on top. Roasted coffee, bourbon, mild oak and vanilla. Medium to full bodied. Slick on the tongue. Mildly bitter finish. Slightly hot.

Opaque black beer, little ta head. Dark malt and oak nose. Light soft palate, semi dry. Sweet dark malt. Sweet whisky and a trace of coffee. Subtle oak. A little dark chocolate. Minerals in the finish which is semi dry. Very good indeed. Bitter aftertaste.
18cl bottle. Black color with fine brown head. Roasted aroma. Complex sticky and roasted taste with some oak and vanilla. Lubricant your palate in thick oil. Tastes damn good. crosamich (474) - Twin Falls, Idaho, USA - MAY 20, 2012
