Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, soy sauce, roasted malt, bourbon, and some vanilla. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of peated smoke, wood, vanilla, and bourbon, as well as medium notes of roasted malt, coffee, and soy sauce, leading to a dry, roasted, and somewhat alcoholic finish. joergen (29598) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2010

Chriso Rock The Roof Down pre-GBBF shindig. Pitch black colour, tiny brownish head. Aroma is quite much brandy/sherrylike with also some liquorice, chocolate, mild vanilla as well as some alcohol. Flavour is liquorice, some vanilla, mild cocoa, chocolate with also some sweet alcohol. Finishes in a quite brandy/sherrylike burn. Still rather much of the Hel & Verdoeminis left, which makes this very drinkable.
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2012 Draught at de Molen. Great aroma of whiskey, cocoa, vanilla, dates. Lots of bourbon apparent in the taste. Overall good stuff. Would like to compare to the bottled version laid down for a few years. 4.3
Bottle #1624 courtesy of Holy, thanks for fulfilling my wish. Brewed July 2009, bottled June 2010, consumed August 2012. Pretty much black, coaxable large bubble head that settles quickly. Aroma is somewhat more subtle and subdued. Tasty is ceamy coffee, espresso and caramel liqueuer covered with chocolate and vanilla. Aroma is now a 9 and taste is a 10. Definitely worth the wait! 4.4 madmitch76 (26378) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2012

Bottled, thanks Baggio! Near black, small head. Rich coffee aroma. Mid sweet with full body, oily dense mouthfeel. Lots of chocolate and coffee, some whiskey. Mildy warming with seemless mouthfilling flavours. Top stout!
