Malty sweet caramelly boozy flavor with bourbon, raisin, coffee and dark chocolate. Sweet, but complex and delicious dessert beer. 2010 nip bottle: mix of H&V barrel aged for almost a year on Wild Turkey, Austin Nichols and new charcoaled bourbon barrels, and then mixed, according to the label. Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Bottle #41
Pours dark brown (perhaps the barrel has ’stolen’ some colour, as this is even lighter in colour than the regular). Small, creamy, beige film head. Exceptional aroma. So subtle yet so powerful. Whiskey, port, vanilla, oak, lots of coffee, dark toffee, light liqourice. Vinious and with good dark chocolate on top. Low carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is really nice. Lots of oak, vanilla, coffee, heavy liqourice, light couch-syrup, vinious. Long, lingering coffee and mild hoppy and vinious finish. Exceptional.
