Thanks Johan! Pours dark with a ring of tan foam. Aroma is char, licorice, black strap molasses, and cocoa powder. Taste is really complex and wonderful. Chocolate, nuts, licorice, char, roasted malt, molasses, and sweet bourbon. Really delicious. A masterpiece. ysolem (35) - - JUL 31, 2013

Pours a pitch black beer with a not very long lasting brown head. Smells incredible. Heavy chocolate, vanilla, some fruity and alcohol. Tastes vanilla, smooth, chocolate and coffee. Average carbo, medium body and a sticky texture. Just an incredible brew.

Black colored brew with a bit reddish/brown shine. The aroma is superb. Dried fruits, different bourbon tones and dark chocolate. Very nice. Flavor is great,starts of with dark chocolate, dried fruits, goes on to coffee, sweet malty tones and charcoal, hoppy tones. In the end the bourbon really comes through with a good hopbitterness and charcoal again. Nice warming feel. Great beer, barrel aging it this way was one hell of a good idea! On tap @ Tilburgs BF (26 June 2010). Black, with hardly any head and little carbonation. Aroma is strong bourbon whiskey, wood, charcoal, roast, vanilla/creme brulee, hints of dried fruit. Flavor is sweet malty, dried fruit, a hint of sourness. Strong alcohol feel, but still medium bodied. Long finish with lots of wood, vanilla and some bitterness. Utterly black pour with zero head. The aroma is roasted, burnt malts with huge molasses, caramel, and very hot ethanol- welcomed though. The flavor is a massively booze version of the origina with huge notes of caramel, molasses, brown sugar, and dark fruit. Solid black with thiick brown head. Aroma is wood, cookies, peat, faint smoke, whiskey, roast, whiskey, roast, etc...
Flavour is extreme intense with strong peat, bourbon, smoke, malt, chocolate, lots of liquorice, and a whole lot more, too much to describe. Lingering forever and ever. Intense. smooth and awesome.

Tiny 18cl bottle from Cracked Kettle. Pours a Deep black with very little head and light carbonation. This beer is one bad mother. Huge nose of aromatic chocolate, deep roasted nuts and malt and tons of bourbony goodness. I drank this at very near room temp so the bourbon was very prominent. Flavor is very balanced and quite dry, bitterness is low but the roasted and nutty character of this beer keeps it from being overly sweet. Chocolate figures big in the flavor here as with 666. I do think 666 was slightly better but this is a hell of a beer with a huge mouthfeel and just expertly crafted. Another home run from what is quickly becoming one of my favorite brewers.
