UPDATED: JAN 11, 2016 33cl bottle served in a snifter. Pours dark brown with a very short-lived tan, bubbly head. Aroma is chocolate, raisins, prunes, alcohol, oak. Taste is more of the same - very Christmassy notes with quite a heavy whiskey presence but very little of the typical buttery vanilla notes you expect with a bourbon barrel aged stout. Bottle, poured into a snifter glass. Near black with a small brown head that fades to some spots of lacing. Aromas of wet oak, bourbon, slight char, roasted barley, vanilla, hints of coffee..hint of green peppers and olives. Taste is loaded with bourbon/oak upfront! Followed closely by notes of char/roasted barley, light chocolate, bitter coffee, molasses and light vanilla. Medium/heavy bodied with low carbonation. 330ml bottle enjoyed @ home. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, bourbon, coffee, wood, cocoa, burnt cereal. vanilla, molasses, liquorice, tobacco and dark fruits. Flavour is sweet, roasted and light bitterness. Full bodied, oily and soft carbonation. Finish is dry, warming bourbon with a lot of roasted malt and coffee. Courtesy toss via Pepe. 33cl. Pours a thin looking almost black color with little to no head. Nose is bourbon and roasted malt. Slight coffee and some burnt cereal. Taste is sweet, sweet, sweet. Some subdued barrel notes and a lighter roast but holy shit is this a sugary bastard. This is one unapologetic beer.

This was poured into a mini snifter.
The appearance poured like jet fuel and had a dark brown color close to black color with a slim concave little head. Trickling light lacing roams around the glass.
The smell started off with a sharp bourbon sweet/light hot weaving some light cocoa and coffee.
The taste was sweet through the bourbon and then the cocoa and coffee combine nicely. A sharp yet sticky bourbon to coffee aftertaste leads into a sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a good sipping quality about it. The carbonation was pretty mild but that didn’t bother me as I look at the date. Smooth roasty coffee tones roll over my tongue.

Thanks to Zenkis! 2+ yrs cellaring. Starts with impressive standard IMP qualities - intense dark roasted malts, quite noticeable bit harsh (in a good way) wild turkey BA, coffee, oak, licorice. Quite intense sweetness with moderate bitterness, bit sourish hints.

Received this bottle in a trade with BenH, muchos gracis! Pours an incontestable black with a moderate mocha head which soon recedes to a bubbly layer. Sweet molasses, vanilla, creme brulee, dark chocolate and hints of roastiness in the aroma. Taste is somewhat hot at first but rather pleasant; vanilla, milk chocolate, cocoa powder, coffee and slight burnt sugar. Full bodied with a sticky mouthfeel.
