Bottle. Smells of my mums xmas cake mix. Flavour is complex - wood, fruit, leather, whisky, sweet. Excellent.

almost black colour, 3-4 cm long lasting creamy brown head; aroma of coffee, chocolate, roastedness, some cognac and alcohol; taste is the same: roasted coffeebeans and sugar, chocolate, and cognac; sweet and bitter simultaneously with an excellent ballance; perfect imperial stout, I would score it as 5.0 if I liked stouts :-) it is quite surprising that it has only 4.13 at the time of tasting...maybe nobody likes sotuts?... :-))

11%-os verzi: A De Molen zszlshajjt Wild Turkey-hordban rlelni mr nmagban is olyan szuperlatvusz, melynek rtke valsznűleg az sszes valamireval srfogyaszt szmra megkrdőjelezhetetlen.

Bulk_Carrier (5073) - Essex Junction, Vermont, USA - MAY 14, 2015
Back of the bottle reads 07/01/14. This was poured into a mini snifter. The appearance poured like jet fuel and had a dark brown color close to black color with a slim concave little head. Trickling light lacing roams around the glass. The smell started off with a sharp bourbon sweet/light hot weaving some light cocoa and coffee. The taste was sweet through the bourbon and then the cocoa and coffee combine nicely. A sharp yet sticky bourbon to coffee aftertaste leads into a sticky finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a good sipping quality about it. The carbonation was pretty mild but that didnt bother me as I look at the date. Smooth roasty coffee tones roll over my tongue. Overall, I say this was a superb bourbon barrel RIS that I would love to have again.

On tap @ CBF 2010. The aroma has some roast, port, chocolate, vanilla and cherrypits, wood. Black coloured beer with not much head. The taste is sweet, has some whisky, chocolate, vanilla, liquorice, chocolate bitterness and wood. Good full bodied and smooth beer. Nice. Especially the aroma is perfect.

Bottle. Almost black, thick liquid with a very small, beige head. Aroma is very rich and complex with a lott of vanilla-like bourbon notes, some dill and cookies. Taste is sweet and rich with a lot of bourbon, some dill, a hint of smokiness and tar. Some sweet liquorice, roasted malt and burnt charcoal. Finish has a bit of smoke and smoked meat. Great brew.

bottle @ home, black with a brown head, aroma of caramel, oak coffee and chocolate, another great beer from de Molen.
