Black body with a small brown head. Aroma is cocoa, coffee, vanilla, oak, caramel, alcohol and dark fruit. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, oak, alcohol, vanilla, molasses. Thick body, forever lasting lacings. WOW RoyceH (1199) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - MAR 11, 2011
Draught at ACBF. First beer of the Friday, by recommendation of Mes, and what a way to start. Black with a thin brown foamy head, excellent lace. Lots of roastiness in the nose, not overpowering on the bourbon, cocoa, woodiness, coffee, some vanilla and just a touch of nuttiness. Mouth is big on taste, dark chocolate, vanilla creaminess, cocoa, caramel, whisky evident right at the back. Creamy finish, slips down so easily, I could drink this all day. I really want to drink this all day. joes (92) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAR 12, 2011
04/03/2011 @ ACBF (draught). Black beer with small beige head. Wow, what an aroma: roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and mocca, whisky/wood, very complex. And tasting is even better and more complex: roasted malts, chocolate, wood, spices, whisky, alcohol and more. Absolutely my personal favourite this festival, I went back for it another two times! mlunger12 (645) - Orlando, Florida, USA - APR 15, 2011
UPDATED: APR 18, 2011 18cl bottle #1520, shared with drowland. Pours jet black without a head. Slight bourbon aroma, sweet vanilla. Taste is roasty coffee, the bourbon comes out and burns slightly going down, even then, hides the 13% wonderfully. Very ashy. Sweet and delicious. I’m quite sure that this lives up to the top 50 hype, very, very good. A great example of the beer showing the characteristics of the Bourbon. tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - MAY 31, 2011

bar. Pours black with a small tanned head leaving some lace. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, malts, sweet and port. Flavor is so deliciously sweet, barrel and bourbon, roasted, well balanced. Fullbodied palate. Finish is just a full enjoyment of the sweet, coffee, barrel and tart aftertaste.
From tap at the brewery. Heavy thick black pour, deep tan head. Aroma full of bourbon, licorice, coffee, chocolate and leather. Flavor is extremely complex with loads and loads of very nice bourbon, bitter roasted malts, chocolate, leather and, well, awesomeness. Great brew. cryptobard (281) - DENMARK - SEP 4, 2011
Bottle number 860. Dark chocolate, whiskey, and dark fruit in the flavor. Beautiful whiskey scent. Thick in the mouth and a nice black hue. Quality comes in limited runs ;) TheCametron (2480) - CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 17, 2012
Bottle at RK2. 250ml clear glass bottle. Black and murky brown. Nose is bangin’. Broings to mind chocolate cake batter or partially melted Haagen Daaz cookies and cream. An easy 10 and I’d give it an 11 if I could. Under carbonated a bit like bourbon county. Chocolate, sweet molasses. Caramel. Wonderfully complex. This was a real standout. Bottle, bottled in January 2013. Very fresh. Aroma is boozy, bourbon and incredibly roasted and well balanced. Oak is present in the aroma, but the bourbon is definitely overwhelming but but overpowering. Flavor is very sweet, full of bourbon oak flavors. Very well balanced, great sipper. This is one hell of a great beer. Awesome! kraddel (8130) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - FEB 18, 2013
