Sample at Borefts 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with a round light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, rich peaty alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth oily sweet fruity malt alcoholic palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Peaty, ashy, quite sweet.... quite thin bodied, especially compared to the base beer. Hint of vanilla and oak. Good stuff, but the barrel ageing hasnt improved on the amazing original.

Thank you RB bros & sympathizers! Sampled draft @ Borefts 2016. 2016 Vintage. Black going to brown with no head. Nose is thick roasted barrel, sugar, oddly peated, boozy going to chemical spirit. Taste is boozy pure whiskey & peast, thick syrupy molasses, roast, sugar, burned, Raw, unbalanced, peat note is odd. Liked the Bourbon BA one in 2014 a lot more, this one is just raw, crued & oddly bit peated. Body is molasses, syrup, pure booze.

Sampled draft @ BAF 2014. Thank you! Black, little mocha head. Very boozy thick bourbon nose, light varnish, wood. Taste is thick oily liquorish, mocha, bourbon, very warming, coffee, faint smoke. Thick, rich body. Good but not the best RIS that De Molen has done.

No nose, pours pitch black with little carbonation. Extra smooth strong expresso and a little of pure cocoa, some dried black plums. Very little sweetness just to keep the balance. Chalky milky mildly bitter milk chocolate aftertaste. It is very good!
