Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Quite much pitch black colour with not too much head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark dry fruits, bunch of smooth whisky, some vanilla as well as some slight wooden notes as well. Flavour is very much the same in a really pleasant balance.
Bottle at pre-ZBF 2010. Motor oil black, no head, no lacing. Aroma of cherries, alcohol, whisky. Taste has chocolate, cherries, sweet plums, vanilla. Dry finish. Great character and complexity. cgarvieuk (26100) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 8, 2010
Pre-ZBF ... black ... soft roast ... chocolate malt nose ... very soft sweet roast ... loads of whiskey ... not working for me ... but lovely silky mouth feel omhper (25835) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 17, 2010
Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Very dark brown, no head. Sweet and chocolatey. Full bodied with soft mouthfeel. Salty molasses and milk chocolate embraces you with a thick syrupy very sweet sensation. Notes of coffee, very mild woodiness. Not my favourite amongs de Molen’s dark offerings. madmitch76 (25817) - , Essex, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2011

Copenhagen Beer Festival. Opaque black beer. Rich and peaty smoky malt with a sweet malt finish. Never thought I would like a beer like this but this is very nice indeed!
