COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made with the most heavily peated malt in the world from the Bruichladdich distillery. Almost pitch black and opaque, small head. Furiously peated aroma, hiding the malt, licorice and dark chocolate somewhat. Very full bodied, thick mouthfeel, like fluid bread. Dark chocolate, loads of peat, lapsang souchong tea, chocolate cake, culminating in an almost endless aftertaste that also has licorice.
Alcohol varies by batch.

N1ce!

"The most heavily peated malt in the world". Different, which is good, to other imp stouts Ive had. Its like a burning Yorkshire moor, with added alcohol and definitely some licorice in the end. However, roast is hidden too much behind the peat. I think Pete is a name that should make a comeback. I take that back. I dont. Pete didnt like me and I just had to accept it. Petes loss.

Green nip bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of roastiness, bitter chocolate, peat smoke, licorice and light dried fruit. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of bitter chocolate, roastiness, peat smoke and a hint of licorice with a smooth lingering smokey finish.

Kraftig l med mye aroma. Bitter smak av humle og masse malt. Sjokolade, malurt og kraftig ryksmak. Ikke helt min smak.

Et l med en skarp ubestemmelig smak. Noe skarp p smak og skarpere p ettersmak. Et godt l til riktog rett.

Poured from 2011 bottle, pours pitch black with a pretty thick light brown head and lacing in the glass, aroma is of dark chocolate with a good amount of sweetness and malt, the flavor has a nice chocolate front with some of the peat and smoke in the finish, the abv is pretty well hidden, doesnt blow me away but is still pretty solid.

pours black with light brown sustaining froth. Aroma of dark chocolate, peat smoke, milk chocolate. Higher carbonation than you would expect from an american imp. stout. Full bodied. Black fruit on finish. Big chocolate. Dark chocolate bitterness.
