COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made with the most heavily peated malt in the world from the Bruichladdich distillery. Almost pitch black and opaque, small head. Furiously peated aroma, hiding the malt, licorice and dark chocolate somewhat. Very full bodied, thick mouthfeel, like fluid bread. Dark chocolate, loads of peat, lapsang souchong tea, chocolate cake, culminating in an almost endless aftertaste that also has licorice.
Alcohol varies by batch.

Black pour with a tall creamy tan head that eventually fades to 1 finger. Aroma is huge on peat smoke and iodine, along with woody smoke and dark chocolate, then some briny char, roast, earth, licorice and burnt nuts. Flavor is all chocolate and peat smoke up front, followed by dark roast coffee, roasted nuts, campfire smoke, earth, hints of sautéed dark fruit, burnt sugar, earth, burning hay and lighter roast, briny char, roast and lots of lingering smoke to the finish. Heavy body, creamy, oily and syrupy entry, heavy and blanketing carbonation and oily, boozy, slightly solvent-like and slightly acidic finish. Really tasty stuff overall, the flavor lasts forever and moves from one group of tastes to the next like acts in a play. Way, way over carbonated though, coupled with the light, but odd acidity in the finish, I have to wonder if it might be infected.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2018 Barwa idealnie czarna a w aromacie torf, „wedzonka”, palone kable przelamane deserowa czekolada, pralinami, likierowoscia, wanilia. Swietny balans. Karmelowa pianka slicznie utrzymuje sie na powierzchni. W smaku praliny wymieszane z nie przesadzona torfowoscia. Balans miedzy dymem a umiarkowana slodycza, wanilia. Brak kwasowosci - nasycone nisko. Alkohol swietnie ukryty.

Smak: czekolada gorzka, trochę czekolady mlecznej , kakao, kawa. Torf intensywny, są bandaże i spalone kable, jest trochę umami, praliny, sporo nut palonych, suszone owoce, dobry balans między czekoladą a wędzonką torfową i palonymi nutami. Ostre piwo, ale w granicach rozsądku. Odczucie: ciała sporo,gęste i wyklejające, nisko nasycone, alkohol ukryty, gorzkie kakao w proszku na finiszu. Całość: bardzo dobre, torfowe piwo, dobrze ułożone i zbalansowane, świetne posmaki pralinkowe, bardzo ciekawe, świetne i bardzo smaczne piwo. 7/4/8/4/17

33cl bottle at home. Appearance: pitchblack with low, beige head that dissipates quite quickly. Aroma: smoke, smoked bellpepper, peat, cacao, coffee. Quite hard to sense other aromas, since the smoke is pretty dominant and saturates the nose. Taste: pretty high sweetness and high bitterness. Notes of roasted malts, smoke, peat, dark bread, dark chocolate and cacao. Long finish with notes of bread and licorice. Palate: full bodied, thicky oily texture and medium carbonation.
