On tap @ 1st BBF, De Molen. The aroma is very fruity due to the Simcoe. It has grapefruits, peach, mango. Together with the sweet caramel and dried fruity malts this makes a lovely combination. Hazy, brown coloured beer with a lasting, off-white head. The taste is sweet and bitter. It also has the lovely combination presented in the aroma. Fantastic. The alcohol is well hidden. I realise it is a big trouble and effort making this kind of beer, but it would definately be awesome if this could be made again. I surely hope so. One of the best experimental brews (if not the best) I had this year. Best eisbock ever. jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - NOV 2, 2009

Lovely powerful stuff but not over the edge. Very complex yet well balanced. Alcohol present but as could be expected from 16.4% ABV. Amazing.
Tap @ 1st BBF in Bodegraven. Tantalizing hop aromas. Oiled sweet wood pulp, mashed weeds, bamboo. Lots of fruit pulp, ripe mango and a whole cocktail of other fruits and berries. The flavor complies with the aroma, a bit less intense though. Also drier, cured leaves come in the flavor. The body is sticky and oily – very pleasant. Drying finish. Glowing brown color. No head, rather fizzy bubbles instead. bierkoning (13821) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - NOV 1, 2009
Tap @ 1st BBF Bodegraven. Amber color. Red berries and mango in the aroma. Sweet liquorish flavor with loads of oily hops, grass, red berries and mango. Very long oily hopbitter finish. My favorite of the Molen Ijsbock series. jerohen (2379) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - NOV 1, 2009
On draft at 1st Borefts Beer festival, Bodegraven. Overwhelming hoppy nose, complex and fruity and actually one of the best i’ve ever smelled. Somewhat sweet malty flavour, some herbal notes, fruit. Very long-lasting finish. The aroma alone is enough for a high rating, but also all other features are very good. I concur with bierkoning that this is the best of the IJsbock series.

Tap @ BBF. The simcoe gives a very nice fruity bite to the IJsbock. Taste is a bit more dry, bitter and fruity. Very nice, but unlike others I thought the combination of the cognac with the IJsbock suited the beer better. Not that this is a bad combi ofcourse :-) Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - NOV 4, 2009
Tap @ 1ste Borefts. A brown colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma of malts with bitterhops and caramel. There are also fruits. The taste of hop bitter is explicit. There are also fruits with notes of alcohol. The aftertaste is bitter with alcohol and hints of sweet. harrisoni (19559) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2009
On tap at Borefts BF 09. Simcoe as hell. Loved it. Yes, I can see the faults, but I love simcoes so I don’t care. madmitch76 (26467) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2012

On tap at Borefts I. Dirty brown beer! Obvious fresh hop nose. Crispy palate. Pretty full on fresh hops but not too bitter. Finishes with a little malt and alcohol spice but as per the other De Molen Ijsbocks - hides it’s abv really well.
Tap @ Borefts Beer Festival 2009. Hazy ruby red - purple - brown colour. Aroma of sweet malts and hops. Flavour is hoppy, with sweet malts, spices and some grapefruit.
