lefossoyeur (615) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 12, 2012
Copper golden topped by a small but lasting white head. Pleasant fruity nose backed by sour malty note. Light to medium body, pleasantly fruity, quite simple but nicely refreshing. Finishes on a light fruity, doughy aftertaste. Not a typical saison but enjoyble one.

Hazy amber colour. Sweet, caramel, with some herbal spicy notes, missing that saison funk.

Botella de 330ml. Vaso de ½ Pinta. Saboreada en jul´12. Color dorado pálido y apariencia algo velada. 330ml bottle. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on jul´12. Pale golden in color, chill hazy look. Froth is white, creamy & shows good retention. Crystal malt aroma, bready hues, earthy & spicy touch to the nose. Wheat texture & flavor at first sip followed by slightly citric & subtle fruity notes. Strong bitterness is shown in the early middle leaving a earthy & spicy palate. Medium body, moderate carbonation. A beer where hops play an important role both in flavor & aroma while overwhelm malts. Long astringent & citric finish. Saison-style but close to the border line. Complex beer worth to try

Bottle, 7.5%. Teaish and caramelly hop aroma. Hazy amber colour. Big stable tan head. The flavour is has a spicy hop note with some caramelly malt and a bit of alcohol. Does not taste 7.5% to me. Seems sweet to begin with, but turns out not to be. High carbonation.

Bottle from Nina’s. Pours a dark golden colour with a lacy white head. Aroma of mint, black pepper, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel. Lingering orange sherbet.

Hermod (8110) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JUN 20, 2012
33cl bottle, bottled 01/2012. From bierkompass. Poured hazy amber w. Lacing white head, lasting. Aroma has yeast, orange candy, light hops, some fruitiness. Lovely aroma. Flavor has orange, spices, perfumy hoppy finish, dry. Feeld bit raw, not the best balance, but very refreshing.

lusikka (7819) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 20, 2012
330 ml bottle. Bottled on 13.01.2012.
Pours a dark copper colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of dried fruits, bread-like maltiness, some floral notes and also metals. Flavour of quite strong but raw floral hops, weak orange, spruce and some bread-like malts again. Medium bodied, high carbonation and a bitter, weak fruity finish. Not really a Saison at all. Could be an IPA from De Molen just as well.
