Opaque brown color, good steady brown head. Aroma has cocoa powder, coffee and roasted malts with hints of vegetables. Medim to full bodied. Smooth palate. Roasted malty and very coffeish, notes of vegetables and a bit harsh. Probably coffee added, with coffee comes same off-flavors than in De Molen’s Kopi Luwak.
Bottle from Ølbutikken. Black with a huge tan head. Smoked and roasted malts, caramel and whicky notes. Roasted malts flavours, molasses. Interesting and newbie on the Christmas beer scene. stobbe74 (3790) - DENMARK - JUL 4, 2010

7 whisky aged aroma, soft and sweet and sticky dark fruits. some alcohol comes over too as it warms.
4 jet black, tiny ring head.
7 not a bold taste, but certainly an interesting one. dominated by a soft burntness, but with lovely whisky hints. Never overpowering.
4 lovely soft palate, carbonation subtle. Given the modern inane trend to stick whisky into beers, this is just gently aged instead. Some freezer ice in the retronasals.
14 Certainly a lovely sipper, but with nothing telling you to slow down. mellow and inviting. I want to go to bed now, despite the fact it’s early.

Fairly solid malt base of hard roast malts, some dried fruit and a fairly distinct smokiness. Some warming alcohol and a little malt bitterness. 080410 fonefan (51072) - VestJylland, DENMARK - FEB 21, 2010
